This pole is really heavy duty. I have another brand with a twist lock in a 24' length and this blows it away. Locks really well, thick aluminum, a groove to prevent section rotation. And metal universal threaded tip. I use it with a claw contraption I bought on Amz to grab leaves out of my gutters. Haven't yet tried this long one, but will really appreciate its stiffness. By the way, I had an issue with my order and the small family owned business that sells these was extremely helpful and responsive, fixing the issue quickly and professionally. Couldn't have been more impressed. Great product and great service. What more could you ask?Update 11/21/2023 Used it yesterday for the first time. Amazing. Locking mechanisms worked flawlessly. Has such a quality, sturdy feel. Unlike my narrower, twist lock pole, I was able to place this one between my legs and use my body (one inner thigh or the other) for leverage...a bit like deep sea fishing but without the chair and rod holder. LOL!!! The large diameter of this pole and the heavy orange cushioning make this a viable option. It worked great and didn't hurt one bit. This pole is a tad heavier than my twist-lock and when mostly extended and held off on an angle using a normal side-hold technique, I was getting tired more quickly. With the "deep sea fishing technique", it was "smooth sailing" (couldn't resist the pun) and actually less tiring. If you have any interest, go ahead and buy one. You won't be disappointed.

Sturdy pole even when fully extended. Easy to extend and lock into place. A little heavy, but not difficult to use. Would be nice if the handle had a hole for hanging. No issues after a couple of uses.

Purchased in July, 2022. Used it a couple of years with no problems. But this year I kept having trouble keeping one of the brushes to stay tight and I was going to really put the squeeze on it and the end broke off. I had already had a plastic piece break out of one of the clamps but I just kept making sure it stayed in while I was using it. But when the end broke off I knew it was time to do something. So I contacted Extend-A-Reach to see if these parts might be available so I could repair it. I got an email stating "I'm truly sorry to hear about what happened to your attachment. This is unacceptable and I will surely get to the bottom it to make sure it will never happen again. I run a small family-owned business and we believe in treating our customers as we would treat our friends. We wouldn't like you to be walking around feeling that you didn't get the full value of your purchase. To make things right, please write to me with your order ID, full shipping information, and a photo of the broken attachment to help understand the issue better." Two days later I received an email stating that a new pole was being shipped out which I received a few days later. Now that's service. There's going to a few problems with most things we buy today. But the key thing is, will the company that sold it do the right thing. This company did. As for how the pole performed, it works great. Clamping system does work. I've had some poles that when locked pole would still slip. I have the pole that extends to 18'. At that height it wiggles and wobbles a little bit but no bent pole. Overall a good product and good people to back it up.

This replace an old wood extension. This looks like it's very sturdy and extendable.

We had a bees nest pretty high up in a tree. My regular bug exterminators came and said it was too high and they would try to figure something out. I am impatient so I bought this pole. Prior to it coming we put together a couple of other poles and used a spray can attachment (also from amazon) to spray the paper wasp nest with spray. Two days later the nest was starting to fall apart but we could not get it. Then the poll came!!! It actually reached all the way up and we attached a small hand garden 3 prong rake to grab the hive and pull it down! My dad said the poll actual looks longer than 30 ft. It is a little heavy all the way extended but it worked!! One of the latches came undone once but we brought the pole down and redid it and it worked great! We will also use it for Christmas lights at the holidays!
