Smooth! Fantastic value.
I don't expect to ever achieve tone like an authentic Dumble - not that I would really know if I did. But this little guy offers a punch overdrive with lots of low end for those more subtle applications, and a nice smooth lead tone for solo sections with higher gain settings. Love having multiple tone controls to tame the high end on my strat.I recommend the Tomsline ADR-3 Dumbler highly, but can't really say whether this sounds like a 'D'. This is especially true because my understanding is that every 'D' amp was built to order, and sounds different. I can say it helps me approach my overall crunch and solo sounds in an easy-to-dial-in, creative way.

Very impressed
I have had this about a week now. I have never played a Dumble so I can't attest to the accuracy of the pedal to the amp. What I can say is that it doesn't sound like other overdrives I have, first this isn't a high gain pedal, even at the highest settings there is still clarity to it. The knobs are very interactive, volume and other features will change depending on how the pedal is dialed in, if the gain is all the way or mostly down the volume does drop a bit. This is a very quiet pedal, even with all knobs maxed it's still very quiet, very impressive. Single notes sound really good, I could see using this as a solo boost or leaving it on if playing leads a lot. I was also able to get a sound similar to the Lenny pedal. Open chords sound good, power chords need help, was able to beef it up by running a Soul Food in front of it. I tried this with a music man with humbuckers, a Les Paul Studio 50's Tribute with p-90's and a Squier Classic Vibe 50's strat. All three sound great, and this pedal to me actually enhanced the sound of the strat which I thought sounded very thin and weak with my setup. Overall, this pedal is worth the small investment.

A keeper. A good OD.
This thing sounds good. I use it either alone or in a series of different overdrives to achieve varying levels of OD/Distortion It is NOT a heavy OD. It is relatively light. id suggest you check You tube to try and gauge its sound. Many of these Chinese pedals are the same with different colors and names on them. There have been some videos to suggest that some of the settings of this can sound exactly like some of the expensive boutique Dumble od pedals. Since Dumble amps all sound different from one anotherits difficult to say if it really sounds like and particular Dumble amp. I can say i like it and it will earn a spot on the board I'm assembling. Its just an opinion, everyone has one. Out of the 4 cheap Chinese pedals I have tried lately this one is the keeper. One thing. I have had a boatload of pedals over the years. good pedals last forever. It seems. MXR pedals from the 70's still run great. This Dumbler got a bit of tea splashed on it yesterday and it would turn on but not get OD. This morning it worked fine. I can reasonably say that these pedals can be taken out of service very easily by very little moisture. Not recommended for an outdoor gig and be careful with your onstage water bottle. It did no permanent damage but it did stop the main knob from turning up the gain until it dried out. Most people don't splash water around on stage but clubs have drunks, and drunks dance, sometimes they dance with drinks and fall over monitors or use the stage as a place for their beverages. You get the picture.

So far so good!! Is it in Dumbledwarf dream land?
I've never heard a Dumble amp at face value other than on recordings, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton and such..To try to smash that big creamy Dumble sound into a Dwarf box Hens i call Dumbledwarf would be a guitar players dream stomper.. Until i actually play a read Dumble I wouldn't know if it nails it.With that said i do like this little box for what it does and that's push a tube amp and give more finger tip responsiveness on your guitar.. I just got it and only fiddled with it for about an hour so i will update as time go's on.For the price it's worth a try.One thing is it's quiet and the switch is pop free.

Great value
This is the cheapest pedal I own, in cost only. Dumbler pedal is great for a boost or dumble style overdrive. This doesn't replace an original dumble amp, for the money difference, it gets you there. You can get some dumble personality out of clean tones, or you can boost some already dirty tones with it. If you want an SRV, KWS, EJ or JB tone with it - you can dial it in pretty quick and effortlessly. Excellent value for the money. It hasn't found its way onto my permanent pedal board yet, but it's fun plugging it into all of my amps.

This is the right pedal at the right price. Don't pay more!
The pedal sounds great! Velvety, slightly compressed, round-rich-saturated-tube-tone, extremely faithful to the old Dumble amps I played in the late 70's and early 80's. You can easily get Boston or Brian May tones with this! Turn down the treble on your amps for instant "Woman" tone ( ala "American Woman" by the Guess Who)YOU MUST have a good power supply to run this properly. That's true of most miniature pedals like this, but especially so with this particular line of pedals as they are especially sensitive to power fluctuations.Luckily, good power supplies are easy to find and not prohibitively expensive.Although DUMBLE tone is supposed to be compressed, it is not squashed to death. Dynamic range is the first thing you'll lose without proper steady DC current. Give this clean steady DC, and you'll be rewarded with expressive dynamic range with just the right touch of creamy-crunchy goodness dripping from your fingertips! This is the right pedal at the right price. Don't pay more! Others charge more than DOUBLE for this DUMBLE clone.
