Love the categorization, the content is a bit shallow
I was so excited to recieve this book because it seemed to be so well orgenized and very easy to navigate through the different characteristics. It certainly was, but I found most monologues in the book to be quite shallow and uninspiring with a lack of development in them.Another thing to consider is the fact that most monologues are from small plays which arn't very known. So most likely, the only way to watch\read them is to request it from the author himself and purchase it.. Small chance you'll find it in your library.I found a monologue that I liked, couldn't find any information A-T A-L-L about the play so I sent the author an e-mail requesting information but wasn't responded. So take all this into consideration. The monologues are deffinetly not overused.

Vulgar and most certainly not under 2 minutes.
I gave it a three star because there are a few pieces that I may be able to cut down to a NORMAL audition time. I am not sure what this author has auditioned for in her career but the 20 something auditions I have been to have been either one minute or 20 seconds. With the majority being 20 seconds. In addition to the monologues being so long many of them were vulgar and/or had over the top cursing in them. I am a young woman and my no means conservative but I do not want to portray myself as a potty mouth when auditioning. Even though I am going to attempt to cut a few of them down I am very sorry I made this purchase.
