Easy Setup With Echo Plus' Integrated Hub, Easy Reset If Previously Paired, Good Light Quality
I was an early adopter of the Philips LUX bulbs and hub. I had this bulb first setup with the Philips Hue bridge along with my other bulbs. It worked fine for Philips products but would not Alexa integrate other bulbs like the excellent Cree smart bulb. This has the round shape of more modern Philips LUX bulbs which is very difference from the trumpet shaped older models. It's closer to the size of an old incandescent bulb and its more lamps and fixtures. When I got my Echo Plus with an integrated Zigbee hub I was anxious to move all the plugs tied to my Hue bridge to the Echo Plus. This requires a reset of the bulb. The Cree was easy with a series of on-off cycles. All the Philips bulbs required getting the serial numbers off the bulbs and using the Alexa app to reset them. (look in the smart home section)When my smart bulbs were reset, including this one, pairing to my Echo Plus hub was as simple as saying "Alexa, Find devices". Easy-peasy. I still have great control over my Philips bulbs and now finally voice control over my Cree bulbs too.Outside of voice control this Philips bulb is nice 2700K (warm white) smoothly dimmable bulb. Light quality is nice and I find it slightly brighter than earlier LUX models I own.In conclusion, since I got rid of the Hue bridge I have one less thing taking up a power socket and network connection. All my bulbs work through the Echo plus hub and all are now under voice control. Philips still makes some of the best smart bulbs and this version of the Hue Lux bulbs has very smooth dimming and is a bit brighter than older models. Living with this bulb for several months I think it is excellent and earns 5 stars.

Good bulbs
Set up was easy and it's working flawlessly.I had bought the hue bridge and it came with 2 bulbs and I had received another bulb with another smart purchase so I put all 3 in my ceiling fan light and it's perfect. I can work them individually or separately. I love that I can now dim my lights because they're usually too bright however often times I need that really bright light so now I can set it to whatever suits my needs.I doubt I'll be purchasing any Phillips bulbs on their own tho....their prices are too high for me especially when I have others that work identically yet cost much much less.Phillips has their name going for them but it doesn't seem to work any different or better than my other smart bulbs.I only purchased the hue bridge because someone had mentioned it in reviews for the echo plus ...but I've found there's too many restrictions...limiting me to only Phillips color bulbs if I want the full 16 million color access. My other smart color bulbs won't work with Phillips hue bridge so I had to buy a different hub and now my cheap bulbs are just amazing with it and I can get a lot more bang for my money. Had I known to begin with, I'd have avoided the Phillip's purchases all together. That being said, their items work great if you aren't worried about cost. I have way too many lights in my house to go with Phillips....but definitely ok with the quality of my order. I should have done more research before buying Phillips so that's on me and why I'm keeping the Phillip's set up I have. I feel like Phillips should get 4 stars for their crazy prices but I don't want it to reflect on the product or the seller because both of those are 5 star worthy.

Fast, easy connection to Echo Plus + works in ceiling fan!
Received this bulb with my new Echo Plus. It was so easy & connected almost immediately. The bulb is very responsive either by voice commands to the Echo Plus/Alexa or using the Alexa app on Fire tablet or cell. I'm brand new in the smart home arena & am now using 6 of these bulbs. I'm especially excited that the bulb works perfectly in my ceiling fans! Without paying attention, I'd installed a 'regular' 60 watt bulb that would only flash/flicker. A guy at Home Depot told me ceiling fan lights need a 40 watt bulb. Anyway, a 40 watt did work, but was so dim as to be almost useless. So I tried this Phillips Hue 60 watt smart bulb anyway & it works perfectly! I still use a remote for the ceiling fan itself, but am able to control the much, much brighter light with Alexa, with no flashing! There is a quirk when turning off the ceiling fan light though, in that it briefly dims to what appears to be 1%, before turning off. Lamps turn off immediately. Not sure why the fan light fades like that, but it doesn't bother me in the least. Just tickled that a brighter, higher watt smart bulb works in the ceiling fan & am actually using this light more because of it. I also have 2 of the Phillips bulbs in '3-way' lamps & they work perfectly as well -- no need for 3-way bulbs any more. These bulbs are packaged very securely, which I really like. I've only priced these bulbs at WalMart & Home Depot, but so far the best price is here on Amazon. Another plus for this bulb is that it connects directly to the Echo Plus' hub & does not go towards wi-fi device count. This is especially important, IMHO, to those like me with limited wi-fi device connection. I have an 8-device limit for my wi-fi, so I am able to use an unlimited number of these bulbs, which is great. I'm so happy with the performance of these bulbs and my Echo Plus & plan to replace all my lights over time. Obviously, the smart bulbs are more expensive than 'regular' ones, but you get so much more bang for your buck. Hopefully, prices will come down over time. The only other issue is how long the bulbs last, but only time will tell. So far though, I'm completely satisfied & highly recommend!
