Fantastic!
I loved this origin story about Peter Pan. It is perfect for elementary students on up. The action starts from the very beginning and doesn’t let up. Perfect for a class read aloud. Even the most reluctant readers will find it hard to resist wondering what will happen next.

The answer to (almost) all of your questions about Neverland
This really cool "prequel" answers once and for all the burning questions you have been harboring about the man-child who lives in Neverland with other little boys. No, no - not THAT one, I'm talking about Peter Pan, the fairy-loving, pirate-hating leader of the Lost Boys. (Same thing, you say - but that's a different story altogether)It seems that Peter Pan was an orphan, who was put aboard a ship with other orphaned boys, en route to a shortened life of serving the evil King Zarboff the Third, when a chance meeting with a little girl and a mysterious crate leads to a wonderful adventure beyond his wildest dreams. The answers to the following questions are just 480 well-spaced quick-turning pages away:1. How did Peter Pan get to Neverland?2. Where the heck is it anyway?3. Where does pixie dust come from and why is it addictive?4. Tinkerbell - fairy who looks like Julia Roberts or bird brain?5. Mermaids - fish or just plain foul?6. What made the natives restless?7. Should you ever give a crocodile a hand?An often funny, action-packed piratical yarn that's sure to delight most young readers.Amanda Richards, October 19, 2006

SUCH an underrated series
Peter Pan + Lord of the Rings + TitanicPeter and the other orphans he has grown up with are being sent away from the orphanage/school they have grown up in. They have been sold into servitude, but must travel by ship to get there. Along the way, Peter meets a friend, Molly, and is also allowed by a strange box. As always, there be pirates along the seas...This is one of my favorite series of all times! I’m sorry that I let the insane work hours take priority over keeping track of the series. This is one of my rereads that has me more excited for my reread than new books this year. Also, between a combination of time and memory loss after a medical procedure, it’s like I’m reading it for the first time again.Ridley Pearson’s daughter asked her Daddy how after and a pirate met, and this is the result. It is one of those stories that may be classified as middle grade, but easily appeals to young adults and adults alike. The world-building is marvelous, with the bulk being new masterful storytelling with touches of classic J.M. Barrie to summon loving nostalgia. Characters, new and old, are well fleshed-out and brought out string emotions from this reader. Greg Call’s illustrations are jaw-dropping (THAT COVER!!)!Buy this for yourself or anyone who loves retellings. If you’re twisted, get it for someone who gets seasick.

... it and because Peter Pan is my all time favorite book! That being said
I read this book because my grandson was reading it and because Peter Pan is my all time favorite book! That being said, I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked it and the adventures the children went on. However, it explains how Peter became Peter and in doing so it makes his choice not to grow up something that happened to him rather than a choice he made. I do not feel that this is congruent with the original intent of J. M. Barrie. So while I enjoyed this book, I feel like the author takes the character of Peter Pan in a direction which is not in keeping with the original book. For me, I would not recommend this book for children. I would prefer them to read Peter Pan with all of it's wonderful complexity of character.

Swashbuckling Good Fun
Consider this book a sort of prequel to the Peter Pan stories you know and love. It is a complete different take on beloved characters, and brings them to life while stitching everything together(and answering any of the questions you may have). It starts with Peter and his band of orphans being forced to work on a ship heading for an evil king. Onboard, he finds magic, danger, and maybe even something more then friendship. This clever and funny writing with memorial characters and plot-line will leave you, or your kids, wanting more.Cons:-There was one particular plot hole that did not match up with the original story, but I won't tell and ruin it for anyone. It is still a great read. :)

英語の勉強の為に
英語が分かり辛いところもありましたが、楽しめました。そもそもピーターパンの物語をあまり良く知らないんですが、知ってる人はもっと面白いかも。

amazing book series
I wish they'd have it in hard covers. This book series is something that I'd keep for my own collection. Good price, of course, at Amazon.
