ChacoMen's Banded Z Cloud Sandal

Did I mention that I love 'em. Have worn Chaco's for years. Have 4 other pairs of Chacos and just purchased a pair of the Z1 with no toe loop a couple of weeks ago; then saw this new "banded" (2 bands) version and decided to make an impulse purchase of this new version. The new "banded" sandal with an extra band is even better than the single band Z1's in my opinion. Both are great sandals. Still have the second pair of Chacos I purchased back in the 1990's, well worn but still wearable. You simply can't go wrong with Chacos, they are the best sandal on the market. Spend the extra money. 20 years from now when you're still wearing them you will be glad you did. And by the way, I don't work for Chaco's or own stock in the company. Just found a good American made product with good customer service. I'll wear Chacos for the rest of my life and when they plant me in the ground I want to be planted in a pair!

I'm happy with these shoes but it took me four pair to get it right! They're comfortable and secure. I was looking for a version with no toe strap that I could still jump around on river rocks in without worrying about my foot slipping or stubbing my toe (quite as easily), and these do the trick! Now for the sizing drama: REI no longer carries them in the store so I couldn't go try them on in person. I'm a woman with big feet (11.5), so I usually order men's shoes. Ordered the men's 9 in black and they sent me a *women's* 9 in a totally different style. I ordered the mens 9 in a different color (exactly the same size as my old pair of chacos that were finally falling apart after 16 years) and they were too small. Then I tried the women's 12 and they were too narrow. Every time I tried to buy the MENS black 10s they showed up as WOMENS shoes when I went to the cart. Finally ordered a men's 10 in a different color, which showed up in the cart as expected, and they fit great (and held up together are exactly the same length as my old 9s) so I'm going to keep them and hopefully not have to deal with the nightmare that was getting what worked for another 20 years again (unless they don't make chacos like they used to...). But if you're buying a men's 9 or 10 in black, double check your cart before you check out!

The straps are not adjustable. My feet are muscular (what an odd thing to know about oneself!) and have a somewhat high arch. My feet could not fit through the loops. Not even close. I would guess many men, especially men who wear sandals, would have the same problem. I write this review to save people the trouble of having to return the sandals. The product was not unsatisfactory. It was unwearable.(I gave it five stars because I never got to wear these sandals and do not know if they are a good or bad product.)

Very happy with these so far. I bought these to replace my Rafters sandals I have had for about 15 years. I looked for an excessive amount of time and finally decided on these. Took them on a kayaking trip where I did some creek crossings in waist deep water climbing logs etc.. they performed admirably. The buckle is nice you can easily sinch them down for when you need it and loosen for comfort. I was really impressed at the comfort of the straps. I was expecting much worse little chafing spots only had a couple the webbing was actually very accommodating. Also the footbed was comfy but just a little slick right at first but that wore in after the first use.

I was really surprised how much I liked this. At first it seemed to tight, and I considered exploring whether I could get a wide in the same size. Then I made a discovery: the protruding strap that some complained about was part of a long continuous strap that went around the lower part, AND COULD BE ADJUSTED!! Now the strap no longer is long, and after loosing the bottom I have an excellent fit.I like the looks of the sandal, and now the excellent fit. It is very supportive and a step or two above the tevas I’ve been wearing for many years. I have suffered from plantar fasciitis and this extra support should be all I need to stay clear of it for a while. I strongly recommend this sandal, without reservation.

Straps adjust exactly as needed to provide the perfect, secure comfort!! I usually wear an 11.5-12, but after reading reviews, I decided to go with 11. Glad I did research first, because the fit could not be better. Someone will have to pry these off of my feet, because I do not want to take them off. Do yourself a favor, and invest in a pair of these.

I am 64 years old. Without a doubt these are the best sandals I have ever purchased. Adjustment of the straps creates a perfect fit for any size foot and they are extremely comfortable with great arch support. Can walk up steep hills after my feet have been submerged in water without my feet sliding around in the sandal. Liked them so much I bought 3 pairs.

Was skeptical about style and fit, but these are comfortable and look great! Highly recommend. I usually wear 9.5 and went with 10.
