Listing is deceptive!
This is a great alto recorder but it is not bamboo. It is made from a plant-based (Corn and other plants) resin Yamaha calls “Ecodear.” It is a wonderful recorder that sounds better than other plastic altos.

I have 5 wooden treble recorders but decided to buy a good plastic treble for everyday use, when the wooden recorders need to dry out, etc. And also because sometimes you just want something that's easy to play, that you can trust to get ALL the top notes effortlessly, that doesn't clog too badly and which requires minimal maintenance. After some research I decided to go for this one, although I'm not keen on the colour!!! However it plays like a dream, with a clean, crisp, bright tone that is quite wonderful. Effortless! It compared really well to my wood recorders - difficult to tell the difference sometimes. (But I do not like the colour.)

Non è un flauto molto squillante o potente però il suono è equilibrato e caldo ma soprattutto l'intonazione è meno sensibile al flusso d'aria dei flauti più sonori. Nel complesso è piacevole anche per chi suona già da tempo anche con flauti profesionali.

Esta flauta me surpreendeu tem uma afinação melhor do que as outras flautas de resina além disso o timbre é bem mais doce não posso esquecer de mencionar a facilidade de tocar as notas agudas e gostei muito da estabilidade do sopro que esta flauta possui
