This Hoody is a Homerun!
I was a bit turned off by the price, but tried it anyway and I'm so glad I did. I love it and wear it all the time.Fit: I'm 5'11" and around 220 lbs and bought this in large. I wear medium to large in most things, but too many pull-ups have made it so a lot of things are tight in the arms and back, so t-shirts I tend to go with XL. This fits perfectly. It doesn't feel snug in the back when I reach forward, and the sleeves don't ride up. There's plenty of room inside for layers and does sometimes get bulky in the car, although as it breaks in that's becoming less of an issue.Warmth: I really like the quilted insulation. It's not too warm to wear around the house, although if I'm working on something it usually has to come off. The first time I wore it outdoors I went out for a hike in the rain. It's a Rain Defender, what could go wrong? Well, nothing went wrong. It was 34 and rain/snow/slush and I wore this over a t-shirt and was perfectly comfortable for an hour, hour and a half. Since then I've worn it in rain and snow and wind, down to single digits and in most cases a t-shirt is adequate underneath. If I'm just standing around, I need an extra layer.Water repellent: As mentioned above, it's been good in light rain and in snow. Snowblowing and shoveling it's the bee's knees, although it can be a little warm if I don't pace myself. It's not a rain coat, so I wouldn't expect it to keep me dry in a downpour, but it's kept me dry so far.Hood: Oversized so it fits well over a hat. In a strong wind it can blow off, but most of the time it stays put just fine.Pockets: I like the zippered chest pocket for my phone, keys, or wallet. The side pockets are pretty loose and I would not trust them to keep things secured. In fact I lost my keys in the snow while starting the snowblower one day. But my biggest beef is the little pocket inside the right hand pocket. I like that it exists, but it's so open that my hand always goes into it instead of the main pocket, and I have to consciously get my hand in the right one. It's not bad when you're just putting your hand there to warm up, but when you need to stick something in your pocket real quick, it wants to go into the wrong one.Durability: It's still too new to comment on the durability, but I don't treat it with kid gloves and so far there are no signs of wear.Zipper: YKK zipper, so no issues there. It zips up just a little bit higher than "normal", which is really nice for keeping the cold out. The pull is a good size for use with gloves.TL/DR: Excellent sweatshirt that I would buy again. My only beef is with the side pockets that aren't very secure, and with that smaller inner pocket on the right that my hand always goes into instead of the main pocket. But overall I'm very satisfied. I wear it around the house and as a coat.

Durable, comfortable quality
This new jacket fits even better than the old Carhartt I bought it to replace and has much better wind resistance plus water resistance. Very comfortable, well-built and full of extra "secret" pockets that keep your stuff snug and secure. The only "complain" I have, if you can call it that, is that the hood is a little large. Ends up being a good thing if you want to wear a hat beneath is or you cinch it down. But wearing it without cinching it will cover your face a bit and make you look like a jedi monk or something. That is really the worst thing I can say about it. Superb jacket, worth the money and I expect it will last a very long time just like the last one. I bought this hooded sweatshirt to replace a similar Carhartt sweatshirt jacket. The old one was 7 years old and hadn't worn out. The zipper was still perfect, it was just faded a bit and had a hole in one pocket (my fault, a knife went through it). Bottom line is buy it. You're not likely to find anything better at this price IMHO.

Comfort meets rugged reliability.
I love this jacket! I first got one from the water district for work. It was so warm and comfortable. I bought my own. This one has and inner pocket on the left. It's got a chest pocket that's big enough for a moto g6. The waist pockets are improved with lil tech pockets in them. The jacket fits like a regular shirt. I wear XL I bought XL it fits perfectly. The comfort is amazing. It's warm but doesn't make me sweaty when transitioning to warm places. The hood is oversize and quilted which I like because of headwear. The zipper is course and tough. It's got elastic cuffs on the wrists and waist to keep drafts out. It's rain resistant though I haven't stood any downpours. It's never got wet inside though. The only downside in my eyes is the price $70. That's more than I like to spend but it's that's just a personal thing. It's worth $70... The jacket is well insulated being that it's quilted. I've worn this in ice and snow. It always kept me warm. Bottom line is I love this jacket. I would highly recommend the quilted version. It's amazing and is by far my favorite jacket. I would and if available when this new one wears out buy another one.

Fine sweatshirt for work
Yes, the tiny interior pocket traps your hand! I had a little laugh when I read that in numerous reviews; unfortunately, it’s true. I may sew it shut, or just walk around trying to disengage my hand from the pocket’s grip for the life of the sweatshirt. Which probably means, in a few years my son will be walking around with his hand stuck, since he seems to inherit my things, & this sweatshirt seems to be very sturdy & well-made. Other than the tiny pocket, that is.Being serious for a minute, I wore this sweatshirt to haul up a load of wood in the spitting rainy sleet that has suddenly replaced our beautiful snow. I wasn’t chilled or wet. I wouldn’t count on it in a downpour, but it performed exactly as I expected for that situation, which is why I ordered it. It seems pretty tough, too. I brushed the dirt & bark from the wood right off, & it washed up like new. The zipper works easily. The quilted lining isn’t cozy, but it does cut the wind & is warm enough. I ordered on the large side so I could layer for warmth while working outside in the upper 20’s and above. This is a fine sweatshirt for work. If you want a sweatshirt to lounge around the cabin in, choose the sherpa lined one.

Heavy thick hoodie
It’s awesome, fits well maybe a tad big but allows for bigger clothes underneath. It’s very warm and high quality.

Great fall sweater
-Best zip up sweater I've had. The right lower pocket had a pocket inside it.-The chest pocket fits the very large Samsung S21 Ultra and its otterbox defender case which is bigger yet andnhas a bit of room to spare.-Very happy with the outcome.
