Just the right size for serama feet & chickens weighing 8oz to 1 1/2 lbs. My chickens do not tip or knock these over. These are on good size cross pieces @ both ends that keep them from tipping over. Not thin wood. Very smooth w/o splinters or places to make a foot sore. Edges are rounded for foot comfort. Not very high, but my micro seramas won’t go higher if it was. It’s high enough to get them above the flooring & they’re happy. Also low enough for the micro chicks to hop on next to mom & dad. I can easily scrape them w/a metal straight edge of some kind for cleaning. Where the pieces join together is done well so no toes or anything gets caught & snagged in it. Simple yet well designed. These fit just exactly right in the cabinet style 2-story coop hutches I use. I can put a small cookie sheet under the roosting perch to catch droppings while the ckns roost & that makes clean up a breeze to just slide the pan out & dump it. I initially thot these were a bit pricey given that I could just make something, but after seeing them, these are exactly right in every way I needed them to be. For all the reviewers complaining these are too narrow for their chickens, well, we don’t all have huge chickens. Bantams will love these!

I painted my perches before assembling them and they came out great! The chicks love them in their brooder.They are sturdy and I don’t have to worry about them getting flipped over or anything.They are also very roomy and all of my chicks can perch on them.It’s also nice that there are 2 so one can be swapped out if the other one needs to be cleaned.

Ordered as roosts for my baby chicks to teach perching, and they were using them by a week old. Very sturdy and safe, easy to assemble, no splinters or risk of tipping, flat perches for stable footing. Most chick perches are round, which is not optimal for a chickens feet, so these are perfect for them. A bit pricey for such simple structures, but product is quality.

Great little pack for my Silkie Chickens. Low to the ground so they both use it daily! Good value as you get 2 for the price of many others 1. Easy to build, easy to clean.

I got a second hand coup with two young hens that was missing the roosting bars. These fit perfect! Nice and sturdy too. The girls are still figuring out what to do with them so still sleeping in the nest boxes (judging by the mess) for the time being.

I bought one to see how well made it was. I was so happy with it, I came on to buy more and found this 2 pack. Love these, my chicks use them to reach water better, and both my hens and chicks use them. They are sturdy, and made in the USA!
