Good so far
So far so good. Replaced my laptops battery about three weeks ago and so far no problems. This was the extended battery meaning it was a little larger than the original battery but still fit inside the laptop because the laptop had the extra space for this type of batteries.

This battery is worthless!
Immediately after installation, you get the error message "NOT A DELL BATTERY. SYSTEM WILL NOT CHARGE THIS BATTERY". I sent their customer service the following email. It speaks for itself. There has been NO reply from their Customer Service.The battery is worthless. Don't say you weren't warned.I bought a replacement battery for Dell Inspiron 5580. After installation I get an error message that this is NOT a Dell battery, and therefore will never be charged. You specifically state that this IS a replacement battery for Dell 5580.As per your instructions, I have TWICE followed direction to ‘drain residual power’ AND the direction to ‘reset the SMC calibrating the battery’. NOTHING WORKS.I notice that 20% of Amazon users give you a 1 star rating. Is this why?Please advise.IF I DO get a reply from Customer Service and this gets resolved, I shall update this post, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Great Replacement
Great battery for dell inspirion 5480 labtop it now runs like new. It was easy to install and it it came with all the tools needed for a good price.

Expanded and burst apart after 2 years
I had it installed for about 2 years. Battery charge was fine, I think gradually diminishing over that time but still hadn't reached the point where it was end of life. BatteryBar claims > 2 hours on a full charge though I'm not sure how accurate that is.However it died prematurely by expanding from the inside and forcing open the bottom of my laptop! Photo attached. No chemicals had leaked out - yet, but that's a major concern and maybe inevitable.

Instal was easy and the battery is holding a charge after a couple months. Great alternative compared to Dell

It died in a month
Initially, I thought it was working and was happy with the purchase. After a month of using it, it wouldn't hold the charge at all. Not even for 5 minutes. My old battery was better than this.
