Great books!
Resisting the Bad BoyI laughed out loud during this book. I thought it was a cute story. Abby is a `good girl' and Conner is what everyone believes to be a bad guy...but deep down, he's more than that. They have an almost immediate attraction...and decide on a month fling. Some of my favorite quotes from the book are:"Hell, if the positions were reversed, I'd make damn sure to kiss you silly until I wiped every last trace of any other man's kiss from your memory completely," he growled.""Want to try that tactic with me?"She crossed her arms over her chest. "You don't reward the puppy that misbehaves. It tends to confuse the poor thing."Talk about failing with flying colors. She was right back where she started weeks ago, losing herself in his intense blue gaze.Even though the book did end on a cliff hanger, I giggled and loved the book all the way through! I'm picking up the second book now to read!_____________________________________________________Falling for the Good GuyI think my heart will always belong to Conner. I started out loving him. I fell in love with his personality in the first book and I got to see the person that he really was. Brain was okay. Yeah he was sweet and dependable, but for me, it took him too much to convince her to take a chance on him. Maybe it's because my heart was still rooting for Conner! At the end of the first book, I had to pick my jaw up off the floor from the ending. So when Conner left at the end of book one , giving his brother a 'chance' I had to get use to Brian...chasing Abby."Is that all you think this is Abby? Don't you feel what's happening between us?"She felt something alright. And she was trying her damnedest not to move her hips at all lest she wake it up even more.He started winning me over a little bit...just a little bit..."It's a gift. I know you as well as I know myself. Reason number eighty-seven why we should work on becoming more than friends""I refuse to accept that," he growled, hauling her into his arms. " I don't care what the rules say. Everyone should have a chance to fall in love"I can't wait to read what happens between Conner, Brian and Abby in the next book! I'm hoping for Conner! We shall see!!I'm picking up the third book in the series and will be reading that one next._________________________________________________Choosing the Right ManI couldn't put the book down until I finished it! I wanted to know what happened, it had me that hooked. I love the way Nina Nakayama AKA Violet Duke writes!! Way to go girl!!In the first book I fell hard for Conner. The second, my heart let Brian in...but it just wasn't the same. He was sweet, but I didn't feel the passion like I did with Conner. This book starts out with Conner back. Now that he gave Brian a fair chance with Abby (Brian's whole month to date her like Conner had), he's ready to fight for her.Poor Abby...What's a girl to do?!?Do you choose your best friend whose always been there and love you that you slowly fall in love with and already have a family (Skylar) with?ORDo you choose the man that has rammed his way into your life like a cannon and makes your heart speed up just as fast? You will have to read to find out who!!

A complicated, cliched love triangle involving an overall "perfect" girl....
The series overall had this very happy, go-lucky feel to it, something that while doesn't indict any strange or worrisome emotions that will make you cry, laugh, feel fear or anything like that, it really is the kind of story that you can "enjoy on a nice park bench on a warm, sun-soaked day." It's a series that will make you smile or laugh once in a while, but there are some flaws to point out.#1. Resisting The Bad BoyAbby Bartlett finds herself in a complicated deal with well-known and infamous bad boy, Connor Sullivan, brother to her best friend for years, Brian Sullivan. Connor is wealthy, charismatic, and known to have a slue of lovers that walk in and out of his life, never settling down, and content on his "one-month rule" when it comes to relationships. Connor never noticed Abby before until now, and finds a strong sexual attraction to her where he must have her and indulge in her before his one month time is over. Yet, Connor's bad boy behavior and past comes back to often mock Abby, and Abby's strange, close relationship to Brian, her best friend, complicates things. The first book to the story really feels short, overly simplified, and even clichรฉ in so many ways. The intimate scenes are really passionate and fiery, and by the end of it all you are hoping that Connor would change and break his rule for once, and when the reader is not given that, you feel disappointed and let down. Then the last chapter opens up with some hope for Abby in the end when the chance of a relationship with her best friend is given -- by Connor.#2. Falling For The Good GuyAfter getting over her subtle heartbreak from Connor, Abby is given a chance to have a relationship with Brian, just to see if there's anything there. With Brian having recovered from his wife's death years ago and rambunctious twelve year old who might have her mother's health condition, Brian is ready to find love again, and who better than the woman who has always been in his life and helped raise his child. Abby takes it slow with Brian at first, and you really get a sense of the overall nice guy that Brian is, how understanding and sympathetic he is, and how he's always there for her. The two grow close very quickly, but the threats to their relationship are there: is Abby really over Connor, and is Brian really over his wife? This part of the novel didn't feel much like there was any real serious conflict other than the internal conflicts that the characters endure. There is a scene involving the child and it starts to pull at the heartstrings, but it overall feels like a happy ending -- until Connor steps back into the picture, and everything gets thrown for a loop.#3. Choosing The Right ManLove triangles are always complicated, and by this time in the novel, Abby has developed the reputation with me that she can do no wrong and is completely perfect (much like Bella Swan in Twilight). She has rich bad boy Connor and nice guy next door Brian, brothers, deeply in love with her, and now she must decide between the two. What do they decide to do? Basically a joint-custody agreement where she dates them back and forth, a week each, until she decides -- granted there cannot be any physical contact or intimacy until she decides. At the end you learn a startling truth about Abby that truthfully feels like it was spun out of left field and meant to just throw a monkey wrench into the middle of it and see what happens. It really didn't do anything for me.At the end, Abby makes her choice and the left-over brother is left alone to decide on what to do next. It didn't feel like a satisfied ending, and the conflict of the last book did feel forced and incomplete. The reader doesn't see it coming -- maybe that's the point -- but it really just didn't feel complete to me. And the conclusion felt more wrong than what it should have. While you do end up rooting for one couple over another by the end, (a problem that comes attached to love triangles), many readers will either feel fulfilled or disappointed by the end.
