Does the mb16acv version come with a carry case or anything to protect the front of the screen?

The monitor comes with a magnetic fold over cover but it's not very secure especially if your carrying it around, so I keep mine in a laptop carry case. Mine is mainly used as monitor for my s21 phone in dex mode with keyboard and mouse. Occasionally use it for laptop extended monitor.

Can this be powered via usb to plug and hdmi to screen at the same time?

Please find video for your disposal. Display do not have HDMI-connectivity. Only USB-A / UCB-C / Thunderrbolt or UCB-C altmode or Display link connectivity from your laptop. No external power needed.

Is this compatible with a macbook pro 2019? i ordered the mb169c and it wasn't so i wanted to double check this one before i order it.

Same here - I'm connected via USB-C from a MacBookPro 2018 to my ZenScreen and it works really well. I also use the screen a lot with a HP laptop via its USB-C connector and it works well too. Been using my ZenScreen for months now without any problems.
