This is my review of Neiko’s Magnetic Hex Bit Holder Rack You get two red plastic hex bit holders with a magnetic base that not only allows you to attach it to any ferrous metal wall or object, but the magnet also helps keeps your bits from falling out. I turned it upside down, and not one of the bits fall out. The plastic is sturdy, and the red color makes it easy to locate on your worktable or wall, plus they allow you to store up to 74, 1/4-inch bits. They are easy to insert, and easy to remove when needed. Excellent product at an excellent price.

Came in handy when I had to remove a faucet handle set screw that was too close to a wall to use a regular L shaped allen wrench. Side Note: Some people give the bit holder a bad review because they say their bits fall out of the holder when turned upside down. Take note, the less iron in a bit the weaker it is magnetically so don’t blame the bit holder if your bits lack much iron content.

Great product, I love it if it's just going to sit in the toolbox. However, I took about 10 minutes organizing the two that I bought while sitting in the living room using the coffee table, I accidentally dropped one about 18 inches to a carpeted floor and everyone of the little bits spilled out and got totally mixed up. The magnet is not very strong and the holes are probably a little looser than they should be. But like I say, if you're just going to leave it sitting in your toolbox or some other place it's a great deal and the beds are very easy to remove – too easy. But on the positive side it's nice to be able to reach down with two fingers and pull out a bit easily rather than having to lay down everything pick up a holder with two hands and pry like crazy to get some of the bits out like you have to do on most of the retainers that are sold today

This review is really positive, despite the heading. For the buyers who complain about bits falling out due to a weak magnet in this product, you do realize that not all bits are made of ferrous metal, don’t you? Some are stainless steel, which, depending on type of stainless, may be only weakly attracted by a magnet, or not at all. Some are made of titanium, which is not magnetic. Most busy workers have likely acquired a lot of bits, from various sources, and, of different metals and with varied attraction to magnets. If you intend to use his holder any other way but upright, try running a strong magnet over your pile of bits, and select only those bits that are strongly attracted by the magnet. What else do you want from a bit holder? Its very stable on workbench top, it a pleasure to look at and it keeps my bits more organized (before, they were in a single-line holder and were falling on the side all the time). The one feature I like besides the magnet, is the holes are just enough to keep the bit, and there's no resistance inside of the hole. Which makes taking and putting back the bits an easy and quick task. I like it overall, and highly recommend it. As for the colour, I liked it in Red, but I understand it also comes in Black or Blue whatever is your preference.

Instead of a hex bit kit with case, I’m buying bits individually now and this Neiko thing is so easy to use. The magnet holds, the bits are easy to see and I no longer have a junk drawer of bits I don’t need. I use this at home but if I was a travelling contractor, I use something else like Milwaukee packout inserts or a clamshell case.
