Stopped working after four months!
I didn't expect much from this product, all I wanted was a clock with a low profile for my bedroom. But, I got so much more! I am so pleased with this purchase! In fact, so pleased that I'm writing a review which I seldom do! Though it is diminutive in its size, it outperformed my expectations! The sound is much bigger than expected and the station I wanted came in crystal clear! The night light is both pretty and convenient, and because you can choose the color/brightness, or turn the night light off, it affords you options, which personally, I like. It also has a port on the back so you can charge a device, and it has a back up battery, so if the power goes out you can still have all its features. I believe it is a great product and it was a wonderful surprise to me. For the modest cost I don't think you can go wrong with this purchase! Update: Went to sleep last night, I had a working clock radio, upon awakening, it no longer worked! It had what looked like the numbers 28:88 on all its areas, both alarms and where the time is shown. I called Amazon customer service and they attempted to assist me in trouble shooting, but it's just dead y'all! I was really upset, because I truly like this product! Amazon was gracious in giving me a refund. Still, since I really need a clock, you'd think that because it died I'd look for a different product, you'd be wrong! I actually surprised myself, because I'm going to give it one more try! I'm hoping that the one I received was a lemon because no one else has reported this problem, however this time I'm opting for the protection plan! While it worked this little clock radio, did an amazing job for me! I really enjoyed all its features, which are unique to this brand. Because of this I'm going to give it one more try! I'll update in nine months to a year, hopefully this new clock radio will still be working. Second Update: Soo, it's 2023. I had every intention, to update my review, but things happened, among them getting Covid three times! I'm changing my rating to five stars, the following is why: The replacement clock broke about about nine months after purchase, so I called Amazon hoping they could help trouble shoot, but they were unable to. (Deja vu!) They did prorate a refund and I chucked the radio in the trash and went shopping on Amazon for a replacement, however none of the clocks had the features my little dynamo had! Disappointed I ordered a replacement. Trash day arrived and I started collecting it from all over the house, the clock was still in my bedroom trash can, I tried to throw it out but I didn't want to. I plugged it up in hopes that it would work, it didn't, even though I left plugged up for a while. I was about to toss it again when I had a light bulb moment, what if I changed the battery... hmm. But I argued with myself, changing the battery wouldn't do any good! It was powered by electricity. However, I figured it was worth a try, I changed the battery, nothing happened, but I got busy and forgot about the clock. When I returned to my bedroom a few hours later my clock was working again! Hurray! And it's still working; I haven't even had to change the battery! Not one problem with it since then! Love my little dynamo!

Easy to use, lots of features
UPDATE 2025: I ordered another of these clocks because it is one of the few clock radios that has all of the features I want - dual alarms, multiple dimming options, easy to set, and a battery backup. Since you use an alarm clock nearly every day, the features are important. While the original clock still works, it does not keep proper time and gains several minutes each week so you constantly had to reset it. Recently the alarm buttons became super finicky and it became very difficult to change the alarm time. I searched for a replacement but could not find one with these same features. Since the seller offered excellent customer service, I decided to give them another try. The new clock looks nearly identical to the old one with a few minor alterations. The clock is now powered with a standard electrical cord, which I believe solved the issue with the clock gaining time. The cord and plug remain cool. The volume control has been moved to the top of the clock. The 'alarm off' button has been removed and to turn off the alarm you press the corresponding alarm button which pauses the alarm for 24 hours. Since the alarm buttons no longer work on the first clock though rarely used, I do have some concern that the constant pressing of the alarm buttons will result in malfunction but hopefully that has been improved as well. Overall, I really like this clock. It has a small footprint, the large numbers are easy to see and you can dim it to a custom setting. The radio comes in loud and clear and you can use it (or a bird sound or beep) for the alarm. It has a USB slow charging port and a multicolored night light option if you are interested in those features. It uses 3 AAA batteries for backup so they are easy to replace. It has a large, easy to locate snooze button. It is extremely easy to set up and even includes some printed instructions on the back of the clock. The alarm settings are displayed beneath the time. It seems that the manufacturer has taken steps to make improvements and I hope they continue making this clock because believe me, I searched for clocks that had all of these features and it is nearly impossible to find one. The new, improved clock has resulted in changing the review from 3 to 5 stars. _______________________________________________________________________________________ UPDATE: The clock does not keep proper time. It gains 3-5 minutes per week so you have to reset it frequently. A clock really has one job and so its difficult to overlook this. Maybe I received a defective clock as I didn't see other complaints regarding this. I contacted the seller and they were very responsive and refunded my money immediately. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is a nice, small alarm clock. It is very easy to set - the buttons are clearly marked and each button has one purpose. There is a night light with multiple colors (including off) and lights up all of the buttons on top. The radio works well - you can scan manually or auto-scan to preset the stations. It sounds better than I expected considering how small it is. There is also a sleep setting for the radio. The cord is about 3 ft long with a USB adapter included. The adapter got very hot within minutes of plugging it in - as in unsafe hot. Luckily I had another adapter on hand so I just swapped them out and after that, my adapter doesn't even get warm. I'm not sure if the original adapter was defective but it could be a fire hazard. The display is blue with large, thick numbers. The display has a dimmer wheel which can go from very bright to off and anywhere in between. The clock has a battery back-up (3 AAA batteries) that actually powers the clock when it is unplugged and not just for saving the settings. There are two alarms with three options for sound - the standard beep, birds chirping or the radio. The alarms can be set independently so each can use a different sound. The alarm volume can be adjusted. There is a 9-minute snooze and the button is large and easy to find. I like that each alarm setting is very clearly displayed beneath the time with the alarm time and the sound setting. Its nice to confirm the alarm is set by just glancing at the clock. There is one slow-charging USB port on the back of the clock. Overall, I'm happy with the clock. It has quite a few very useful features in a very small package. It looks nice and is very easy to use. I've only had it a few days but so far it seems to work well. The only complaint is the included USB adapter which got very hot very quickly. Luckily, I had another one available but that is a genuine concern and as a result, I have to lower the rating.

More than I expected...
I'm digging this little clock radio. I had a "nicer" clock radio on my bedside table, but I grew aggravated with it, because it often took multiple presses of the ON/OFF button to power it up or down. No such problems with this little Housbay! One click for on, one click for off, every time. Insofar as the clock radio itself is concerned, I wasn't expecting much, especially for such a little amount of money. But, this thing surprised me. Although it doesn't sound quite as good as my other radio did, it's really not bad for such a micro sized speaker. Volume levels are impressive, and tonality is acceptable for such a small unit. I keep my radio in the 4 to 7 range for normal listening, but it'll go WAY higher than that. There are a couple of things that annoy me a bit. First, it is not possible to tune the radio manually, after an initial scan is completed. For instance, if you are listening to a station at 98.3, you cannot simply press a TUNE button to bump the radio up to the next frequency, which would be 98.5, or down to 98.1. When the radio is first selected, it performs a scan of the FM spectrum. If the faintest signal is detected at any frequency in the FM band, the radio will assign a preset to that frequency. I live in a fairly large midwestern city, and my radio set over 40 presets. Some are not able to be listened to, as they are more noise than anything else, but the radio did recognize them. I am surprised at the sensitivity of this little radio. With the wire antenna extended, it does an admirable job of picking up available signals. When scanning is completed, tuning of the radio must be done by pressing the up/down preset button, until your desired station's preset number is selected. This means that you may have to skip through a few presets that have been assigned to stations with unacceptable signals. It also means that you'll need to remember which preset numbers are assigned to your preferred stations, so that you can "tune" to that preset number when you wish to listen to that station. Once there, the display does show the frequency of that station for a few seconds, before it reverts to time display. In my case, I printed out a list of preset numbers for stations that had good signal quality, and that I was interested in listening to. For instance, let's say that I'm listening to a station at 90.1, and I wish to listen to a station at 101.1. My preset number for 90.1 may be 4. I look at my preset list and find out which preset is for the station at 101.1. It might be 19. I then press the preset button enough times to "tune" the radio to preset 19. Once there, the display will read 101.1 for a short while. Yeah, it's kind of cumbersome, and it takes some getting used to, but it's not a deal breaker if you make a list of presets and keep them handy; or, you just remember which presets are assigned to your favorite few stations. The second thing that annoys me goes along with the first, which I just described. I would like to see the frequency of the selected station displayed permanently, somewhere in the display window, rather than being displayed only when a preset is selected, and then disappearing. I like the looks of the radio a lot. It's smaller and more compact than I was expecting. I also like the dimmable display via a thumbwheel on the rear of the radio. I easily found a brightness level that works well both day and night, without being too dim or too bright. The colored "night light" is cute, too. At first, I thought it was gimmicky, but I quickly grew to like it. Before I lay down at night, I'll turn it on at the lowest level. I just kind of like seeing it. I like the orange color, as it seems to project the least amount of light into the room. Teal is also nice. Alarms are easy to set. I was able to set mine up without going to the manual, but I'm pretty technically inclined and can navigate around most menus without too much difficulty. I selected the radio as the alarm source, and I like that the alarm station and volume can be set independently of the station that the radio is currently tuned to. I did have to consult the manual to figure that one out, but it was pretty simple. No, it's not perfect, but for less than 25 bucks, there has to be some tradeoffs. In this case, I can learn how to deal with them and come to love my little Housbay.

User friendly, 2 alarms
This has been a great little clock, so far. I like that the alarms are easy to set and turn on/off. It's pretty user friendly. I like that there are multiple light colors and brightness settings. I like the dual alarms, as well. I don't use the radio on it, so I can't speak to that, but the alarms/nightlight settings were the main reason I bought it. It's very helpful that there is a battery for backup.

Small but sturdy and packed with features!
Honestly, I never thought much about alarm clocks until I needed a new one and replaced it with a cheap Sharp (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NKB6GAY/). The Sharp got great reviews, but 1. the alarm shut off after snoozing for 1 hour, which wasn't advertised, and 2. you could only go forwards with the time when setting the alarm/clock, not also go backwards. So I moved that to the guest room and went on the hunt for another. After reviewing dozens (maybe hundreds?) of alarm clocks on Amazon, I settled on this one, and after using it for a few weeks, I'm happy to recommend it! Pros: - Can snooze more than 1 hour (I haven't tested it indefinitely to see if there's actually a limit, but the alarm keeps going off even after snoozing it for more than 1 hour) - Easy to read numbers: not tiny but not giant, and they don't look like dots from a distance like some do - Sturdy: it's not the thinnest out there, but that means it won't fall over when you fumble to hit a button. This thing is super steady. - Non-skid: It has soft pads on the bottom so 1. it has even less chance of moving around and 2. it won't scratch what it's on - Always displays the time & format of the alarm: I was a bit skeptical of this feature, as I thought I wanted a very clean clock face and was put off by the alarm clocks that showed time, alarm settings, weather, and generally a variety of things that made the screen rather busy. But I actually really like that you can see at a glance what time the alarm is set for. - Variety of alarm options: You can set it to be a buzzer, the radio, or birds chirping. I thought I'd use the radio but ended up loving the birds, which is not a common option. - Easy to change the time: You can set the hour and minute separately, and you can go forwards and backwards for each, so it's much quicker to get the time you want than alarm clocks that either don't have separate hour & minute options or where you can only go forwards on the hour & minute. - Nap timer: This is a nice extra feature so you don't have to reset your alarms just to have an alarm for a short nap. - Alarm pause: Another nice feature that lets you turn off the alarm while keeping it set for the next day. - Top buttons: There are a lot of thinner clocks out there that have the buttons on the back. I guess this makes for a sleeker aesthetic, but it's much handier to have the buttons more readily accessible on top of the clock, rather than having to fumble around behind the clock or turn the clock around every time you want to change something. - Continuous dimmer option for the front display: Goes from quite dark to plenty bright with the turn of a dial - Colored nightlight - Fairly big snooze button - USB charging port (on the back) Cons: - The nap timer is limited - you can only use the preset options of 10, 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. I would love if you could set the minutes to anything manually. - The nightlight doesn't stay on the color you last selected, so if you want a later color (like green, blue, or purple), you have to press through the whole range of colors (starting from red and going through the rainbow) each time you turn on the nightlight to get there. - There's no white color option on the nightlight. - The snooze button could be more prominent or farther forward. It is large, which is good, but it's the same soft texture as the rest of the clock top, so there isn't a difference in feel, and there's a space of about the same width as the snooze button between the front of the clock and the actual snooze button, which I often find myself pressing to no avail. If the button were raised, a different texture, and/or farther forward, it would be easier to find & press.

Multi-featured-Alarm Clock that you'll love!
This product has really caught my attention and I really wanted to share with those buyers who are looking for a lovely time piece that comes within a reasonable price with bundle of features available in it ! From the looks, I love the shape & size of my new alarm clock but most importantly the ease of using it! The time and alarm โsetโ buttons are on top, and easy to read. Housebay provided exactly what I was looking for. Clear LED numbers with large digital display and can be easily seen from across the room. Simple alarm setup (can set up two different alarms if needed) and simple alarm shut off. The volume of alarm ringer can be adjusted with the loud mode button and so if you have school goer you can help them wake up with a loud ringer and the lowest is L0 volume which will wake you up from sleep only with a slight buzz. The display I chose is white so there will be no sleep cycle interference and the snooze button is awesome as we get to pick different colors! So if you have a boy there is the blue/green and if you need a girly color you have the purple, red and orange as the dimmer light (see pictures in the actual product) . Other colors are white and yellow . Dimmer is enough to light the room with a dim shade and so you donโt need a separate zero watt bulb to stay on if you wake up in the middle of night. The Dimmer is also perfect because: if you're disturbed by lights from your clock at night, it can be turned down to no illumination if needed. Another cool feature is that it supports two energy sources ; one through a DC adaptor that uses the power through socket and those who like to stay on battery, it has 3 slots for the AAA batteries. Batteries are not included, so have AAA batteries ready before use (which keeps this the alarm operating if a power outage happens). And that is not all ; are you ready to hear a mind blowing functionality on this time piece ? Here you go, it is the availability of FM Radio on this piece of Alarm clock!! So if you are a music lover who want to start the day by listening to an FM channel , just press the Radio button on top! In short, this Alarm time piece is a combo of multiple features ! Thank you for offering this great alarm clock, at a very readable cost. Shipping was fast too! After I received the product I had something to get addressed from customer care and the customer care will go over and beyond your expectation and you will be so touched their attention to even minute details. Very pleased with this alarm clock. highly recommend this clock for the features, ease of use , reasonable price and the customer care. Looking forward to years of convenience with this product !!

Great little alarm clock
Sturdy, cute and works perfectly! Alarm loudness is great even at the lowest setting. Radio is in and out of range but we arent in a great reception area. Only issue we had was we had to put batteries in it to get it to come on when we plugged it in. Then we were able to take the batteries out and it worked fine. Like it just needed to wake up.

Canโt plug into UK socket
This plug did not fit my uk plug socket. And when you use batteries they drain within the day. So overall I did not find this clock useful and have not been able to use it at all.

Great Little Radio/Alarm
This radio/alarm clock was exactly what I was looking for. It is small compact, and I especially like the fact that it has a dimmer for the display. You can turn it up bright or down to the point where you can hardly see it. Does not light up the room at night. It also has a colorful night light if you wish to use it. It can be turned off completely also. I found it easy to set up but would recommend looking at the video online rather than trying to read the directions. Much easier after watching video. Easy to set alarms. The sound is really good for such a small radio, I love it and I would recommend it if you are looking for a bedside alarm/radio.
