Easy to turn over with all sorts of different flies and tippets
The leader casts really well - lays down nicely. Larger dry flies - sz 8 foam and stimulators were easy to turn over using 4x and 5x tippet - 4 feet or more. I was fishing with a guide in Lees Ferry who was bothered by the fact that the leader wasn't clear/transparent and ended up taking it off. Can't say I noticed catch rates changing all that much. Think catch rate mostly varied by hatch timing.

Great Leader!
Very nice leader. I just returned from a 4 day fishing trip in northern New Mexico. I was pleased with the casting performance and especially liked how it minimized wind knots (I have fished a lot, but I'm not an expert...) Highly recommended. If you have not tried a furled leader - you should..

Glad I had some cheap leader with me
Had high expectations for this leader. Used it in three outings, no problem. On the fourth outing, the tippet ring cut through the braid. Glad I had some cheap leader with me, or my trip would have been cut very short.

Not as good as I had hoped
I really wanted to like these. I recently purchased a Winston Biiix for dry fly / spring creek fishing and wanted the softest delivery possible. This leader has everything I wanted: waterproofed furled thread, loop connection for the line, and tippet ring for the tippet.Out of the package, I saw that the thread was already slightly separated at the loop end and the tippet ring connection looked a bit "iffy". Upon attaching some 4x tippet, one of the threads broke at the tippet ring leaving only one thread still holding on to the ring. I decided to detach the ring and create my own loop so that I could still test the leader on my trip the next day. The good news is that the leader performed very well on the water. I was impressed by how well it turned over my dry flies in calm and in the wind. It floated without grease for several hours, then after applying a little gel, it came back to the surface. If anyone is considering getting these, I'd recommend a few things. One, get the version with a loop at the tippet end and go loop-to-loop with your tippet. Or if getting the tippet ring version, be very careful attaching the tippet (maybe use forceps to hold the ring while you tighten the knot to your tippet).
