I've tried various racks- saddle, j-rack, etc. I have an F-150, and my biggest complaint for all the other racks are that I can't leave them on the truck full time, as it makes it to tall for car washes and underground pkg. It's a pain to mount and dismount the racks whenever I go or come back from kayaking.These racks are perfect for what I need- they lie very flat, and are really well made. The ratchet locks on the uprights are very sturdy and lock positively in place. They securely hold my kayaks, even my 14ft 80 lb. tandem one. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a high quality, reasonably priced folding kayak rack.

Finally writing a review of this. It doesn't feel premium in quality, but it has worked fine, including a cross state trip on the interstate on a Tesla model 3.No complaints really.

These things are a good product,but I do wish I had ordered different ones. These do not fold down flat either way.nut that's okay. They are very well made. Also with 4 my small SUV narrow roof width doesn't allow to fold them out flat inward toward center . Wish I had purchased different set . Really just needed the single standing one like this one but is double sided holds to yaks . I just thought it would be to hard to reach ,but it is not . But they do work well and are sturdy and padding is good. You do have to check under nut to tighten them back up occasionally but that's to be expected. We use them alot . May sell the 4 I purchased and purchase different setup. Great product though. Made very well. No issues at all.adjust to many different positions. Placed on 2002 Honda CR-V with factory style cross bars (oval) I believe also purchased on here I believe.

Good price but now I know why it was so cheap! Nuts keep coming loose, have to retighten them about every 2-3 days…then, yesterday went out kayaking and the whole thing came apart…..damaged a $400 kayak, luckily no one was behind me nor alongside, so needless to say that I’m not very happy with this product! Would like a better replacement but don’t see that happening even making a complaint at the manufacturer but no response! I would give it no stars but in order to leave a comment/review I had to give a star! Now if the company replaces the j/cradle hooks I may alter my review! And as I said, luckily no one was hurt just some minor scratches to my vehicle and major damage to kayak to the point it’s not usable! So let’s see if the company/manufacturer makes it right!

After putting it on car I didn't have ceiling height in garage to clear garage door. At first they looked like they'd fit but apon pulling out rack hit door. I returned them and bought monrow wings. I'll let u know once I get them on

This is a big step up from the brackets I had before. Sturdy, folds flat, and easy to secure.Definitely exceeded my expectations!
