Installed easy, seem good quality so far.
[Original 6/11/2025] I just installed these; they were easy to install. I don't like electricity, but I've installed a couple of ceiling lights, and I could install these exit signs without looking at the installation manual. They were top mounted, and I fed the cables through the mount so the wire nuts are in the junction box and not in the exist sign (for more even light distributions/no shadows). I bought some cheaper "TANLUX Red Exit Sign with Emergency Lights" and they had the issue where the emergency lights are on 50-75% all the time. They also had finicky test buttons and more wobbly mounts. These FREELICHT seem higher quality. I will update if they go bad. The emergency lights do seem cheap-looking compared to the big squares I'm used to, but in person they actually look okay. They are plenty bright, so functionally, they are probably better. One thing that is concerning is that the warranty is 5 years (fine) but the product lifespan is only 50,000 hours (last page of manual). That is only 5.7 years. I think that LEDs are usually 30-50k. But hopefully, the emergency lights will continue to work and pass a fire inspection even if the red LEDs burn out.
