Powerful And Free

Danny does a great service to the body of Christ with this book. I had read Kris Vallotton's book "Fashioned to Reign" previously and "Powerful & Free" is a great companion! Kris dove into the Scriptural basis and cultural setting for the verses in Corinthians and Timothy etc...that are, on the surface, not allowing women in leadership. In "Powerful & Free" Danny does a stunning job of applying the other letters/verses of Scripture to get a fuller picture of what Paul was really addressing--a specific situation in a specific church. The last two chapters are particularly revealing as Danny interviews powerful women and their powerful husbands and the journeys they have been on in the church culture. Thank you Danny! Women are not second- class, Jesus blood was really enough for us too! Looking back at our Father's original plan for us to be equal co-laborers--and that we, as women, must come into our rightful place with grace, not anger! That our enemy has be the enemy all along, not the men in our lives! We all honor and value Scripture, and each other!

Wow.Just wow.Read it and pass it on. Our world needs this truth.And this isn't a book just for women! Somehow it gets passed to the women to read but this is almost more for the men!A must-read!Put your helmets on and prepare for your glass ceilings to shatter!

Very powerful! I really enjoy Danny Silk as an author. This book spoke about a topic that is so important to the church. There are many books that focus on the theology of why women can be free. I really appreciated Danny taking it a step further and focusing on how so women now function that freedom.

Recommend to any woman who is called to lead & to any man curious about women in leadership. Biblical truths were so helpful. Thanks for writing this book

This is a great resource. I have bought several copies of this book and would not be without it in my library. Danny Silk does an excellent job of showing how Jesus related to women in his time on earth, going against the grain of religious society of the day to show the value and worth of women. I love this book.

Have still to read this book. Any book by Danny Silk and other Bethel Church, Redding, California...are an investment purchase, and so pleased to get one on Women in Church Leadership.
