This rod broke in half while casting a lipless crank bait. I had high hopes, but I am completely disappointed with this product. I have fishing rods that are 15 years old that I still use... This one didn't even last 3 fishing trips! Worst of all, I never even landed a fish with it.***Update***The seller contacted me, apologized and sent a new rod. The seller believed that the first rod was defective.I have already used the rod once so far, so good. I was really impressed with their desire and willingness to make it right.

I ordered the item with these specifications: 1.8M 5.91Ft--Weight:6 oz--Open L.72.8in--Close L.:16.5in--Lure W.7-9g---Line W.5-10LBThe attached picture shows that this length rod was much different (stiffer action) than specifications. It is designed for lures 7 to 21 grams (not 7 - 9 grams) and a line strength of 8 - 15 lbs (not 5-10 lbs). Are all their rod specifications incorrect or just this model?

I purchased this rod to replace one of my telescopic rod. I have three other multipiece rods but decided to stick with these kind of rods. The rod looks really good and stands out when fishing among your buddies.1. The First time Using this Rod during Heavy rain, thunder and lightningThe first time I use this rod was in raining conditions with thunder and lightning. This particular day my wife and I heard sounds of electrical sparks coming from the rod. We touch the gold plated parts on the rod and notice that there was a small surge of electricity running through the rod.2. Knots on thick 0.6mm and 0.8mm linesThe ring on the tip of the rod needs to be a little wider. This is to facilitate knots on two joined lines with a diameter around 0.6mm to 0.8mm. When casting, the knot would hit the tip's ring and reduce the casting force/distance. This happens occasionally but I thought I should mention this for people who're using thick lines.4. The Gold Plated Rings - One of the Gold Plated ring wasn't pasted on but I managed to glued it to its position. I read someone had the same problem from their review of the product.3. Comfortability and Weight.The rod is very strong, comfortable and light. This helps with casting farther out from the seashore. The rod can easily land a 6lb fish. I haven't caught a fish greater than 6lb with this rod as yet. I will update you if I do.Thanks

All in all an awesome product. Very impressed with it's strength vs it's weight. Very impressed with it's action and sensitivity. Especially for it's price. I am a big backpacker and backcountry hunter/angler and have always owned various break down or telescoping rods. This is definitely the highest quality rod I've owned. It makes me want to upgrade my cheapo real.I have the 2.1 meter rod and was worried about it getting small enough to to stuff into a pack, but it gets very small. Not only does the top collapse, but so does the handle. It is nice to be able to decide how long the handle is. It is also extremely light. comes in a nice storage bag and a cap to keep it collapsed and protect the top while stored. It is very easy to cast. I had to get new line because the first time I cast with it I hit the end of my line lol.The only reason it doesn't get the 5th star is that sometime in it's first two uses it lost it's little thread protector cap in the base of the handle. Now every time I change my setup or catch a fish and set it down it gets all sort of gunk in the handle and it grinds into the handle every time I open or collapse it.

I got this to take camping with me in my motorcycle camping trailer since space is VERY limited. Great action, durable and well worth the price.

The product overall is great, however there is one flaw that can easily be fixed. The adhesive for the fishing rod ring eyes needs to be changed. After applying superglue ive had no futher problems with it. I've caught well over a dozen large mouth bass and 2 large flat head catfish on the rod. Great rod, made out of good material but with a small set back with the adhesive.

I bought the 3.3 meter (10.91ft) for surf fishing at NC outer banks. A ambassador 6500c reel mounts on rod loose, can be corrected with little strip of 3\8" wide zip tie against bottom of reel seat. Not a "Hatteras Heaver" by any means with such a low lure weight. Actually got hooked up with a large sting ray by using #8 circle hook, no need to jerk back to set hook. Rod performed well under these circumstances. Do like the compactness of this rod for travel. I would and did buy another, also bought the 3 meter (9.8 ft) to take next time. Don't use abrasive line as the line guides are not ceramic lined and over time would machine wear right through the stainless steel. All in all, I like them.

Edit 16SEP19Received a second pole after talking back and forth with the seller. Great communication and easy to work through my problem.Got the telescopic rod delivered yesterday and was received in great condition. The next day, I went to test it out in the water. I noticed the pole is very sturdy, while the telescoping held up fine and the action of the rod is very playful for jigging. However, after fishing a couple hours, I decided to call it a day and started to collapse the rod. The second to top guide ring came off! From the looks of it, they seem to be barely glued on. I will be in contact with the seller.
