I purchased this tail to complete a mermaid costume I made and sure was glad I paid attention to the size chart and other reviews! It is nice quality fabric, vivid color and a good quality, but I had to order sz XL to fit my size 6 body- 28 waist 36 hips 5'5" tall 130 lbs. Also, it is nearly impossible to walk in this tail- even with the zipper unzipped and feet out of the lower part. It is designed for swimmimg with the swim fins in the set, but I think I would feel claustaphobic with my legs bound in this tail. Ideal if you are comfortable swimming in this or if you want to use this as a cotume to pose for pictures. Overall, pleased with my tail.

I read the reviews on this product and still decided to purchase. I’m glad I took the advice of the reviews and sized up. It was purchased for my niece as a birthday gift. She absolutely loves. It works great in the water looks great in the water bonus, it comes with a bikini top, which was not necessarily in any of the reviews. She is 5’9 145ish lbs. but shapely got size 2xl. She was still able to cinch it.

My first ever tail, I was a bit skeptical but I was like what the heck. I was nervous my monofin wasn’t gonna fit but it did! I mean for fabric it’s really not that bad, but definitely be gentle cuz like I said it is fabric so it scrapes and rips, the material is like lowkey thin from above the ankles but the actual fin part is pretty thick. The colors looked so good underwater.it functions pretty great, and it was pretty fun my inner child was having a blast lol. I would say upsize for your fit, because I’m usually a large and I got a large but the fabric doesn’t have muchhh stretch so if you got a bigger booty like me definitely upsize 😭 so it will be more comfortable. It fits pretty snug. Overall it’s a good tail, just gave it a 4/5 because on the first swim I already notice a tinyyyy bit of distressed bits in the fabric.

Firstly, let me start by saying I have quite a few tails and I wanted this one strictly for photoshoots because of the colors. Having tried it on, I'm not sure swimming in it is a great idea. There are two small hard plastic flippers stapled to the actual tail plastic material that gives the fin it's shape. The flippers are narrow and have straps that hold your feet into place. Your feet will be hurting if you have wide feet. Swimming after awhile will definitely rub your feet the wrong way. As for the size, I recommend sizing up at least 2 sizes. I got the medium cause I'm used to other tails sliding down easily. This one barely made it over my butt. I had to tug it because it was a tight squeeze. Not meant for tall people, I'm 5'10, so the bottom of the tail looks scrunched since I had to push the plastic down to fit my long legs inside. You cannot walk in it either, too tight on ankles and knees. I was scooting around since I couldn't walk. It's gorgeous in photos but if I were to zoom in, you'd be able to tell it's already ripping at the seems. The zipper near the bottom of the tail also struggled to zip up because of loose threads. Not a quality tail. This is the only tail I had to have some assistance getting in. Cute for pictures but it's falling apart.

I like this tail. Seemed like good quality for an affordable price. Colors were pretty. Size up. Way...up! I love it though. Can't wait to pack it for my Mexico trip in July and do my own little photo shoot on the beach and pool! Edit: Just came back from vacation. This mermaid tail was great! Strong, good quality, vibrant colors! I enjoyed it wearing it.

I'm 5'4" and 190lbs. Although this tail was very tight and not much stretching, it fit. It was used for a photo shoot and really pleased with the vibrant colors under water. I don't think it would be easy to fit a mono-fin inside though.

I ordered this for my daughter's birthday with a mono-tail separately. We have had it 3 days and the first time she tries to use it before the mono-tail shows up, the zipper breaks in the open position and will not budge, even with needle nose pliers. I'm returning it. Don't waste your time or money.

The color is beautiful and the tail it did fade a bit fast though it’s still beautiful in the water.
