Q: I worry about stuck wort from trub or hop pellets since the wort tube is only 3/8" diameter. can anyone attest?

I bought this because my plate chiller was impossible to clean well (especially after some hop bomb brewing). Though the diameter of the counterflow is on the small side, the wort flow goes straight into the coil - no turns or nooks/crannies for hops or trub to get stuck. That being said, I'm pretty fanatic about sanitation and not giving anything the chance to dry out anywhere in my brewery. I run PBW solution and rinse through itwith pump

It is not convoluted. It is just a straight pipe.

Q: The end of my garden hose is male and the chiller end is male thread so how do I hook it up ?

You'll need a female- to- female hose fitting. I got mine through Amazon.

Q: What is the inner diameter of the wort tube?

The "inner" tubing portion that the wort is flowing through is 3/8" OD, and it's contained inside the "outer" tubing which is 5/8" OD.
