I’ve only used the brush once, but so far so good. I have 4A or 4B type hair (I think). After taking down my braids, I used the brush with my deep conditioner & a water bottle. I saw some post that said the brush ripped out their hair. But you have to start at the bottom and work your way up. I did not use the little rake clip that came with the brush to adjust its width. I used the brush fully flexible. I really liked how easy the brush is to clean. Be gentle and take your time.

Not much to dislike about this brush, untangles better than any other brush I have used, bought a second as it's so good, highly recommended.

I absolutely love this set, being a curly girl it is so helpful to detangle and help to disperse product through my hair. The clips work well with my thick hair and the pick comb is good quality

I’m a Caucasian curly girl who forever battles with her hair. I have thick quite tight frizzy curls which are tighter on some parts of my head and straighter in others. I’m a very curly girl who hates hair wash days as it’s so time consuming and always a battle in the shower. I’m suffering with over-processed and damaged hair which is really dry and brittle and gone weirdly straight in places due to stress working in a GP sure very in reception all through Covid, along with colouring damage, and sun damage and also think damaged from trying back in hair bands (which I’ve now switched to silk scrunches). It was time to re-think and start again and try new things. I’ve never owned a brush, but this one I wanted to try to replace my wide toothed comb since following “Manes by Mell” on YouTube. She highly recommended this brush. It is really good. Great for defanging and getting out all of the knots. I shampoo my hair, rinse, then condition, then brush through with conditioner in. This brush makes it so easy. I start at the ends and work up. It makes very quick work of it with this brush. I love that it has a fully removable adjustable bar at the back of the brush teeth so you can adjust the width between the bristles. A fantastic idea which I’ve never seen before. Because my hair is quite fragile right now I set it at the widest teeth first, then once the worst of the knots are out I slide the adjustable bar up towards the top of the brush to make the teeth narrower. I also love that the bristles are curved and head-shaped, way more comfortable on the scalp than a level/even brush head. The only design flaw which really annoys me and losses this brush one very valuable star is the handle. The handle is a smooth plastic. It’s not been dimpled to form a grip. A non-grip brush handle is a nightmare when brushing through conditioner. It forever slips out my hands and is really difficult to keep hold of. It’s a real shame, and a big downside in my opinion. I’m going to find some sort of wrap around rubberised grip when I’m out shopping. Maybe something like the tape they wrap around tennis racket handles might work 🤔. So it’s a great brush, but very slippery awful handle. It’s 7/10 from me for this one.

It is a wonderful brush with vibrant colouring and perfect grip. It glides through the hair smoothly and leaves my hair with amazing separated curls. Well worth the money spent.

I don’t feel this product is great at detangling type 4 hair but I do feel that it is good at defining the curl if you brush the hair in sections after it has been detangle and has your product of choice in the hair.

This is the best hair brush I e ever bought for my thick Afro hair . I love the fact how wide you can have the pad . Would definitely recommend it for anyone with thick hair.

My son (mixed heritage) has really thick afro hair and hates us combing or brushing but since finding and using this he has a lovely tangle free afro! if only i'd known about this with my first child who had to endure the pain of combing out natty hair. Would recommend to anyone with thick hair!
