Great book if you are interested in aviation history.

This is an older book so it does not have any aircraft from 2020. It is a good book of you are interested in aircraft from the early to mid 20th Century.

This is THE single book resource for a comprehensive listing of aircraft (discounting the multi-volume Jane's All the World's Aircraft editions). It contains probably 95% of all aircraft that are decently known, as well as probably 50% of, even in aviation circles, lesser known aircraft types.In addition it features stats, pictures, and 3-view drawing for almost every aircraft listed, helping with connecting the names with pictures and what distinguishes one type from another type.Furthermore, all entries feature a brief history about the aircraft and it's development, production, and service, and sometimes additional historical events.A must buy for any person with some interest in aviation and the starting point for any (personal) aviation library.

I bought this for my husband to replace the one that was destroyed during Ike. They are no longer in print. It has taken me this long to find a copy. I looked into it when i received it and was awed at the info it had. I know, now, why my husband really wanted another one. History, photos, manufacturers info, etc.

If you're looking for a good reference for virtually every aircraft from WWI to present this is it. Just make sure you have a strong back because this book is BIG.

Easily the most comprehensive book on aircraft available outside of multi-copy works. A great reference.

My husband is not a reader, so I was very surprised when for 3 solid days he didn't take his head out of this book. I might add that he also made a lot of noises -- Oooo, yow, whoa, hmmmmm... PLUS...it's all he wants to talk about now. Oh...yay...

Most complete and interesting book on all world aircraft. Hard to put it down as there are so many unique types of aircraft and the descriptions and pictures are fantastic.
