Definitely has the weight to it and appears to be made properly. Can't wait to try it out.

Anchor does a nice job in river sand with my old 20 foot pontoon. Holds in moderate current pretty well.

Great anchor.My only issue, which is no fault of the anchor, was with Amazon's algorithm. This anchor was matched with the Minn Kota DH anchor retriever ("others purchased this item with the DH) - it isn't a great fit, however. The shank is thicker than I think the DH was designed and the cleat and chain aren't a match.If you need an anchor, I'd recommend it (maybe just not for the DH, although I was able to make it work)

The media could not be loaded. The anchor winch's anchor shackle does not fit through the anchor's eyelet. The fix is to remove the shackle from the end of the chain, feed the chain through the anchor's eyelet, then attach the anchor shackle to the chain and the end chain link making a loop of chain that goes through the anchor eyelet. I hope the photo helps illustrate this.

This weight anchor works great with my Minn Kota Deckmate. We don't use it that much but when we do, it holds our pontoon in place nicely. And it was a good price.
