Confidence inspiring, premium quality MFI cable from major brand
I was surprised, and pleased, to see that DeWALT has branched out into ruggedized, very-high quality cables and chargers for smartphones. Not only is it a great idea for use in the rough service world of construction professionals, it's also a real benefit to anyone who is tired of no-name, and brand name, cables repeatedly failing.DeWALT is not going to risk their good name by putting it on a counterfeit MFI cable delivered in an unbranded plastic bag. This cable comes in a full retail box with DeWALT's name and their signature yellow and black color scheme all over it. The "Made for iPhone/iPad/iPod" badge is prominently printed on the front of the box. This is not one of these no-name counterfeit "MFI Certified" cables but that shows up lacking any MFI markings. Also printed on the box is "Limited Lifetime Warranty" and "Guranteed Tough®."The DeWALT name is molded into the connector at eash end. The strain reliefs are high quality and even including littles ridge at the back so that your fingers don't inadvertently slip to the cable when you're pulling the connector out of your computer, iPhone, or iPad. This is one area where I will fault DeWALT a little bit - the rubber strain relief is stiff enough that I worry that it might save the cord at the expense of the lightning connector in the device should everything take a tumble while plugged in.DeWALT advertises that the wiring (not the cable jacket) is Kevlar-reinforced and I see no resason to doubt that claim. The braided nylon jacket is very attractive in black with metallic gold highlights woven in. The Kevlar-reinforced, braided nylong jacketed cable is a bit stiff, but that's probably just the price one pays for a cable this rugged. So how does it work? In a word, fine. The photos with this review were transferred across the cable shown in those photos. There were no complaints from my iPhone or my iMac Pro.I won't mince words: This is a very expensive USB-C to Lightning cable. You could buy a pair of six foot long, Amazon Basics MFI certified cables and have money left over for what you have to pay for this one four foot DeWALT cable. But they would not be Kevlar-reinforced nor would have a lifetime warranty.Until/unless this fails on me, I'm going to be quite happy.

Ruggedized USB-C to Lightening Cable
I reviewed the DeWalt 30w USB-C charger and USB-C to USB-C Cable separately but much of the same content applies to the USB-C to lightening cable here as well. This DeWalt USB-C to lightening cable isn't actually made by Stanley Black and Decker, but rather the name is Licensed to E-filliate and made in Vietnam. It's a durable cable that they claim is Kevlar reinforced, however with this reinforcement comes a lot of added stiffness both in the cable at at the ends where there is strain relief. If you're used to Anker Powerline cables or other rubberized cables that are supplied with phones and devices, you need to know this is much stiffer overall. It definitely feels well made and I can successfully fast charge two generations of iphones, airpods, and an ipad without any issues using this cable and the DeWalt 30w USB C charger. It's a good cable to have around the shop or garage where it might see a bit more use and abuse than it would in your home. It's also nice this cable comes with a lifetime warranty, but TBD as the whether they actually honor it or just claim that your issue is wear and tare.

Good Design from Dewalt
Usually a charger is just a charger, but this one does have some features that make it a good one. 3 feet is often just a little bit too short for the truck in my opinion, and the next size is often 6 feet which is way too long. 4 feet is awesome and gives me plenty of links to plug in the phone, put it on its mount, and use it while sitting in the cab.The connectors on this fit great on both ends, the quality of the cable is really fantastic and the braid is super tight. I like that it comes with a Velcro strap. The rubber sheathing at both ends of the cables is extra long and thick, to provide protection from bending and breaking at the end of the cable and is a nice added feature. So far this seems like a great phone charging cable and I expect it to last a long time. Overall I recommend this item.

Used and damaged
Clearly sent me used cable not in original packaging and the end was frayed really bad….

Tough cord.
I have no complaints. The material is stiff but these are cords meant to be on a jobsite. After a few weeks of use the material has loosened up a bit so the cord is more flexible but still definitely tough and durable.
