House of KolorTangelo Pearl Basecoat -32 8-Oz. 1/2-Pt Full Strength

So now it's time for my review. I refinished 4 "old school" turbine style mag wheels and they came out awesome! I used the 12 oz. aerosol black pearl. First, the color isn't the same as the sample, but I think I like it better. It is more like a dark gunmetal, with a blue/silver hue. I called House of Kolor tech support to ask what I should use for a base and I was told a black primer or black base coat, since I wanted a deep black pearl finish. So here is what I did: The rims were chrome so I needed a good adhering primer, so I went with Spraymax black 2K epoxy primer. Then I laid down a couple of coats of VHT epoxy gloss black, then the HOK pearl, and finished them off with the Spraymax Glamour 2K clear. To give you an idea of the coverage it took 4 cans of the VHT Gloss, and only 2 cans of the HOK pearl. It laid down nice and smooth and the spray pattern was nice. It dried to a semi-matt finish but really came to life with the clear-coat. The job was a little pricey, but I know I will have a lasting finish with a professional look. The only issue is that it didn't match the color sample, but I like the color I ended up with just as much,if not more.

I love the house of kolor paints. We use these paints at the shop all the time. They are of good quality. My local vendors upcharge these paints to a ridiculous price all the time. TCP Global is one of the best low price great quality places to order this paint from. They will pack the paint in an appropriate size box and seal the paint with a sealer ring to prevent spills. This pink is a loud vibrant color used for motorcycles, auto vehicles, bicycles, atvs, boats and or detailing fine art on your transportation.

In the process of building my wife a custom vintage chopper and wanted a high quality paint even though i do not own a HVLP gun. after she decided on a color i found that they sell it in aerosol cans. We were both blown away by the quality and vibrance of the paint. Topped it off with the spray max 2k clear that they also sell and its better than we could have ever hoped for. I will continue to buy and recommend their products

Absolutely great paint. It is a urethane so the VOC is high. I went a bought a respirator when using this stuff because it smells as if it will kill you quicker than cigarettes.

This color has a lot of depth. It gets that by being fairly translucent, so a good base, most likely in white, is critical. Also, a clear topcoat is needed to see it correctly.

The can worked well and arrived quickly. This is a great way to do some testing with the color to see if you like it before investing in the whole lot. However, it IS a pro paint, so don't expect it to act like a Duplicolor can.This color has a lot of depth. It gets that by being fairly translucent, so a good base, most likely in white, is critical. Also, a clear topcoat is needed to see it correctly.This color is beautiful, but comes out a bit too orange for what I want. In sunlight, it really pops.
