Gustaf's AllSorts Gourmet English Licorice Candy, 6.3 Ounce Peg Bag

Most tasty licorice 😋 I ever had!

I've loved licorice candy ever since I was a child. Any flavor. Any form. But AllSorts were, and still are, one of my favorites because so many different kinds of licorice come in one single package. Earlier this year, I ordered a bag of Wiley Wallaby's Australian AllSorts (all of their licorice is incredibly fresh and totally delicious), but the word "All" in AllSorts was a bit of a stretch as several of the kinds typically included in an AllSorts assortment were missing. So this time around, I decided to order from another company, and based on reviews, Gustaf's was my pick. Ack, what a disappointment! Not only was the bag tiny, but when I opened it, it was half empty (yes, I know the packages are done by weight). At first glance, the candy inside looked old, and when I tasted it, it was stale, very hard and practically crumbled apart. I have no idea how long it sat in a hot warehouse, but it was really not edible and a total waste of money. I rechecked the reviews and did find more than a few 1-star ratings from customers who had the same unpleasant experience as me; I only wish I'd seen them sooner. I'll definitely be ordering again from Wiley Wallaby's.

Love these all sorts. Such a treat, they are a family favorite.

They are good, but boy is the bag small for the price. They're imported from England, so i figure that is the reason for the cost. My bag has an expiration date sticker of 12/9/26 and these are just about as fresh as i can get at my local vintage candy store. Having been shipped overseas, i consider the condition excellent. I didn't realize how high in carbs these would be, but it's candy so that's on me. As a diabetic, this bag will last me a while. (26g for 6pcs). Amazon delivered these promptly, next day to my porch. For scale, the images are of the bag next to your standard us coffee mug.

I remember always having allsorts in my house growing up. These arrived a day later than promised and were stale, really hard and very very bitter. I love black licorice but I did not enjoy these. Really disappointed.

Meh. The bag says expires 10/23 - but tastes stale, off. Especially the little pariel coated ones. Yuck. Also, no little sticks of licorice I'm used to. No cream filled licorices either. They aren't awful, but 6.3 ounces for nearly 6 bucks. Super sweet, not much licorice flavor. All my opinion of course. Not to mention that it somehow got 'lost' for a week before arriving. Not for me. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. For some reason our shopper ranks are no longer visible - so, to give you a little more info about me, I am a top 50 reviewer (#30 the highest rank achieved). Those numbers used to fluctuate over time - up and down but I noticed that they stopped updating regularly - perhaps to phase them out. It's a shame because it did help you see who has been around the longest and who is a trustworthy reviewer. I've been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - over 6,000 reviews posted, those reviews have been viewed well over 50,000 times, including well over 25,000 likes. Bottom line, I pay for all my stuff, just like you do.

These Allsorts were delicious and I would absolutely order them again when I am fancying a treat! The candies themselves were fresh and there was a healthy assortment of various pieces including cut licorice sticks, coconut wrapped pieces and more! If you enjoy licorice, you will certainly enjoy the various tastes of Gustaf's AllSorts!

It was stale and dry with faded colors.
