Worked well and great price!

I had to wipe it down because it arrived with black, greasy marks on it (see photo). I'm not sure if this is a result of a below-standard manufacturing process or environment, or if I was sent one that had been previously returned (I'm betting on the latter). It's of poor design, poor materials, and sloppy tolerances. Granted, it was only $17, but this is of such poor quality that I unreeled the entire length to see if it actually contained 100m (328') of tape. It does, but this thing is such junk that I'm not entirely confident that the tape markings are accurate. The whole thing is incredibly fragile, and I was genuinely afraid that the handle was going to break as I reeled the tape in. I'm returning this and going with an inexpensive distance laser instead.

Worked good for what I needed yo measure but it’s kind of cheap, the handle broke while I was reeling it in but other than that no complaints.

We needed this since our 125' tape is not long enough for our new project. The tape feels a bit thin but it may be just as strong as our other tape. If the tape was much thicker, it would not roll up into the size of reel. It seems accurate since we measured it next to the neighbors fence and it read within an inch of what the property is supposed to be. It reals in nice and feels strong enough to pull tight to get an accurate measurment in 250'. Great price compared to all of our local stores and shipped quickly.

For the price it did the job. But the tape was rather flimsy tape for the mesquite bushes it rubs against at times. I’ve had to reinforce it with duck tape in several places. It’s very thin. If you are going to use it every day, get something more robust. But if it’s to do a weekend job here or there then it’s probably good enough. The winder/holder it comes on is good quality and a good color to find it when you are done for the day.

The tape on this might as well be made from tissue paper. It’s not made for fieldwork.
