Ripple Effect (Bear Logan Thrillers)

First off I would Like to say it that I'm a big fan of ...
First off I would Like to say it that I'm a big fan of Mr. Ryan's Jack Noble series, but I a very light "knock", if you will, on his writing. I find the he uses words like "showed" is places where the words "shown" and "shows" are proper. I admit that it is nothing major, and actually quite rare, but it causes me to to have a slight hitch while reading his usually smooth style. And sometimes it appears that Mr. Ryan rethinks the phrasing of a sentence. Then during rewrite, he doesn't delete all of what he wrote to begin with and leaves in an unwanted word causing another "hitch". I will admit that theses errors are very minor and really don't effect the overall reading experience.I admit that I am picking nits here, but I just wanted to give LT. a little feedback from an avid fan. Be assured Mr. Ryan, I continue to purchase, with bated breath, the upcoming books in your Jack Noble series!!!Ok, now that's out of the way, let me go on and say what I like about L.T.'s writing. EVERYTHING!I just finished the third reread on the Jack Noble series, in order, on my Kindle Fire HD. Every time I read these books, I get totally engrossed in them. It's like I know Jack and Bear, Brandon, Clarissa, Mandy, Sasha, Devious Frank, and wanting to get to know Mia . I am there with them. Sometimes I also would like to shoot Frank, have a verbal joust with Mandy, gaze on Sasha's and Clarissa's beauty, have a beer and steak with Jack and Riley. Did I mention shooting Devious Frank?I am beginning my first read of Ripple Effect and the dynamic shift in Bears' and Jack's relationship is a touch disconcerting. After the previous 14+ (I have the Jack Noble Early Years bundle) books, Ripple Effect sort of makes my head explode. And as such, it's a bit hard to get into. However, the initial plot is intriguing and I MUST follow it through to see where L.T. takes it. Even in the beginning I was hooked and anxiously await the twists and turns leading to the conclusion.Mr. Ryan's writing is, for me, entertaining, exciting, enjoyable, and down right GOOD! (How many stars can I give to L.T.'s writing? Only 5 you say? Well, that sucks!!!)

NOT a Bear Long thriller
It's just another Jack Nobel book as seen through Bears eyes. Not disappointing but not what was advertised. Very disappointing.

Disappointing
This is my first encounter with "Bear Logan Thrillers" and I did not find or experience any intrigue...or tension or suspense...what's up?Granted, I just read from one to 26 of Harry Bosch's experiences/books , so I am spoiled and who said..."Harry Bosch is my friend and you ,sir, are NOT Harry Bosch".I did purchase the 4 novels in this series and will begin the second in order, but am waiting to be 'WOWED" and fear it will be another fact on fact story telling with a change of "bad guy" every few chapters and so on to the end. Hoping for surprise and wonderment!

Awesome. A novel that makes it difficult for me to remember that I have household duties that can't
A novel that makes it difficult for me to remember that I have household responsibilities that need I to take care of. But that doesn't mean that I can't sneak a few pages/chapters in while I wait for dinner to finish cooking ๐. Keep up the great works L.T Ryan. As long as you continue to write, I'll continue to be one of your biggest fans.Wanda

I wish I'd known...
This series basically continued, as well as, gave more insight into Jack's and Bear's movements in between the Noble stories.I think you'll really enjoy this series, too.

Well done
Well written, but hard to.follow at times and doesn't truly fit in the Noble series and seems more of a cash grab on a few other books than something pertinent to the series.

interesting and a great diversion

mediocre
Improbabile e allo stesso tempo prevedibile. Non ha niente del thriller ed รจ poco realistico. Lettura abbastanza noiosa e per nulla avvincente

Must read in Order otherwise the stories will not make sense
Great story told by the other person of the pair of partners who work together on all plots, and know each others move before they do, but great reading, and you can see the other side of a situation and wonder who was right, it is written so well that you feel that you are in the book, so it is all consuming. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to everyone who likes an exciting read and journey, to who know's where? they don't always know? a real treat

Stick with Jack
Many others will go into details on the book itself. It was a great read as usual. But changing the narrator from Jack to Bear was a monumental mistake. Having read most books in the series, you are accustomed to who is talking. And Bear talking just throws you off. It distracts immensely from the story, and makes it harder to read. And the author also forgets sometimes and occasionally writes as though Jack were the narrator. Please revert to the customary style. I would actually rewrite the entire book with Jack as narrator.
