Perfect quality, nice looking and great fitting! I am glad that I chose this color, as it goes well with every color of tights.

I use these for exercise. I do a lot of barre work and floor work with pilates and similar exercises. I wanted something that would help my feet feel more stable than wearing socks and more supported than being barefoot, but also have generous flexibility for certain stretches. I had a similar pair of these years ago when I practiced ballet and hoped these would be the same. They are. For my purpose, they're perfect and exactly what I wanted. They also fit great and feel comfortable all the way around. I wear an 8 1/2 in everyday shoes, and these are true to size on me. The canvas is soft but has a nice weight to it. It does not feel cheap in any way. It's heavy enough to feel substantial without being rough or too rigid. The criss-cross elastic straps hold the shoes on my feet but don't pinch or bind. The elastic around the top edge fits snug but doesn't also doesn't bind. I have narrow feet, so your mileage may vary on that. The heels fit well. Not too snug, and not too loose. I really love the attention to detail with these shoes. I think they are made well. The pinches and gathers on the sole are even, and all of the stitching is straight and sturdy. The leather sole pads are nice, too. Inside, they are as I expected them to be. A lightweight cotton insole appears to be glued down, which is what I expected. It's comfortable. I haven't worn ballet shoes in many years, but I got exactly what I had hoped to receive. Top to bottom, I think these are great and I will order this brand when these finally wear out.

I have a slight bunion in my left foot, so I wanted a shoe that wasn't gonna be too tight to make it worse. First rxns: there were several short (pet) hairs? on the bag and the shoes for the Sand slippers XD. I just picked them off first, then tried them on. The Black ones didn't have them and even had paper wrapping. Material had 2 layers: outer canvas and thin inner white cotton layer. It made the slipper slightly thicker and less fitting to the foot, so when I move, the slipper material doesnt move with the foot, it stays on top of it rather than bending with the foot. If you're looking for soft thicker "padded" canvas on a slipper to make it comfortable, then this is for you though. Size: I got 8.5 according to the size chart (the size chart had 8.8?) bc my measurement is 9.4 inches / 38-39 EU size. So I went in between 8 and 9 on the actual product size options. When I point, the back and ball of the foot punches out a bit, so I'll return it. TLDR: It's loose, but a bit too loose. And too thick to conform to the shape of the foot. But v comfortable/soft bc thicker materials.

Finally I have found my new favorite ballet slipper ever. And I can't even try to count how many pairs I've owned. Really pretty ballet pink canvas color. I purchased 2 pairs from Amazon this past month. My other Stelle pair was in tan, but I am not keen on those because the canvas was gathered/sewn in a bunched up weird way under the ball of the foot of one of the slippers. I maybe should have returned them as defective, but I took the bad slipper apart and cut off all that bunched up extra canvas and elmers glued them back together. (If you ever were into pointe shoes you know how we get used to the idea of "customizing" our ballet footwear!) These Stelles are true to size but definitely wide width in the toe box area. So if your feet are dainty you may need to size down a half size. But if you have a narrow heel but a wide/broad demi-pointe like I do you will LOVE Stelle slippers. In the pink properly stitched pair, my turns felt very solid immediately/ no break-in period required. The tan ones are my seconds, so I'll be using them for when my modern improv group performs outdoors. But I'll give 5 stars because I adore the pink ones for ballet class and I really should have returned the tan ones. My bad.

These are great for the price! This is my first pair of ballet shoes and they stretch well and are very comfortable.
