Maybe a dumb question, but can this "sheltie" pass for a collie? most of the stuffed collies i've seen are not cute. this is precious.

It looks just like a real Sheltie..mine thought it was real and would not get in his bed with it!! LOL Collies have a longer nose, but it is possible you may be able to pass it.

how tall is the stuffed animal?

From tip of ears to paws, about 10 inches. However, It has been well loved and the little front legs are not totally standing or stiff any more so I think he isn't as tall as he was when he was new. He looks so real and is the cutest stuffed toy I have ever seen.

Does this come in one color only?

This is the only color this comes in.

Is there an user manual?

The Sheltie is just a stuffed animal. For a separate purchase you can buy a story written about rescuing a Sheltie.
