The media could not be loaded.  We are big Star Wars fans in my home so we love these. These molds are just so unique and different. I love that this is a type of BPA free Silicon that is safe for freezing temperatures and also all the way up to 440°F. This makes them very versatile. I can make the ice molds or make them out of jelly or even chocolate. This brings 4 of the molds so I can make multiples.It is a little tricky to make these so they come out looking perfect. You first have to make sure you line up the notch when you close the two halves. Then you only fill them 90%. If you over or under fill they come out looking wrong. You can just invert it so some water comes out the top hole or press down on the top with your fingers to squeeze out some water. I am still experimenting to get that 90% fill level perfect. These molds are rigid silicon. You can't peel them away from the ice underneath. The ice ball is a little hard to get out. The top part comes off more easily. To remove the bottom half I let it sit for a little bit at room temperature. They say to run some warm water on it to help release the ball but then the design melts away too. So I think waiting a minute or two works better.Even with the little difficulties I really think these are worth it. They are just so cool and fun. My 8 year old daughter has a sweet tooth. When I saw this product on amazon, I thought of giving it a try. When I received the parcel and opened it, white crystal like balls attracted by daughter's attention. Good thing is, after reading the user manual, she herself is making desserts for her own using this. She pours chocolate syrup in it to make chocolate balls to eat with her favorite vanilla ice cream. She even uses her favorite juices to make Popsicle out of it. Making jelly and ice creams is so simple with this. Believe me, your kids will love it as they can make any dessert of their choice on their own. I was amazed to read that we can even make home made candles with this. Four molds are enough to make variety of desserts at the same time.

Updated Reveiw - After reading my review this seller was very concerned and took care of the problem by sending out new product. The customer service with this product was over the top and I end up happy, will do business with again for sure.Original Review - The idea is great but two of the molds are defective. One of them does not seal properly so it won't hold water, the other has air bubbles on the inside so the Death Star comes out deformed. If you want clear ice it is a pain to accomplish but that is no fault of the molds themselves. The one positive is that we drop one of these into a drink and it will last for about two more drinks beyond the first....after that i lose track:)

I bought these for my husband as he likes to use large ice cubes for whiskey. I gave it 4 stars only because if you want clear ice cubes there's a ridiculously long process to make them. If you don't need clear ice cubes...then they are great. Can't really see the Death Star if it's not clear...oh well! It's fun to watch Star Wars with Death Star ice cubes in your whiskey.

The media could not be loaded.  My girlfriend and I have been looking for molds to make bigger ice cubes and came across this set. And well, who wouldn’t like Star Wars? It came with a simple and nice packaging, the molds were separately in little plastic bags and I got the instructions too. Seems like the molds are made of really good quality material. Adding ice cubes to the drinks is a MUST with the hot summer weather and I like that when serving the drinks, it adds a little fun element to it. And that’s cool, even if the “wow effect” is just for a few moments.

It makes easy to make ice sphere's. They are not really that way to tell as death stars, but they are cool. I mainly use them as the cheapest way to make large ice sphere's for my gin and tonic.I took off one star because the death star thing is not super noticable

They are pretty cool... Was hoping the "Death Star" look would last for a little longer than a few seconds... But go figure, it's ice... It does make nice round ice cubes, though. Make sure to serve the drinks cold and right away if you want your guests to see the Death Star. Still nice spherical cubes. :-)
