Nice dash cam
There are so many dash cameras that either don't have wifi, don't have GPS, or have an external GPS module that must be bought separately. This little camera has it all. The built in wifi works great. Just install the MiVuePro app, connect it to the phone's wifi, and download videos from the camera. Because it is 2.4Ghz wifi, the downloads can take a couple of minutes. Apparently if the camera is actively recording, the download will be slower. The app gives the option to shut off the camera recording to speed up downloading. Once done, it turns it back on. I have not looked at any of the videos on a screen larger than that on my phone, but the video on the phone looks very good, with great colors and easy to read license plates. The detail is great. The built-in GPS works very well. It hooks up to multiple satellites very quickly and it is dead-on accurate with my car's speedometer. It's nice to know that should an accident happen, all of that information will be recorded. It even has a built-in list of speed cameras that can be updated. The camera comes with several other features. It has a forward collision warning system, fatigue alert, and lane departure warning. I have not had the opportunity to give them a try, but they were easy to turn on from the menu. Everything is easy to turn on in the menu, actually. The buttons on the right side allow scrolling up and down, and selection of menu items. I had no problem maneuvering through the menus at any time. It's all clearly marked in plain English.Overall, this is a great dash cam that is well worth the money. It even greets you when it is turned on. And don't worry. If you don't want to be greeted, I believe that it can be shut off in the menus.Pros:- The camera comes with everything, including a 16GB memory card.- It has built in wifi and GPS. These are features that are typically only found in cameras that are more expensive than this one. Both the wifi and GPS work flawlessly for me.- It is quick to turn on and the GPS hooks up very quickly. By the time I'm pulling out of my garage, it's all up and running. The menus and buttons make sense. And there are button guides along the right side of the screen so that it is easy to know which to push.- It has a few protection features like lane departure alert and driver fatigue alert.- It has a list of speed cameras built in and the camera is supposed to be able to get updates for the life of the product. I checked the website and there are updates available.- The MiVuePro app is nice. It was easy to set up and it connects quickly to the phone's wifi. Downloading the videos is simple.Cons:- The screen isn't the clearest. The images in the product information show a crystal clear image on the screen and mine just doesn't look that way. It's kind of hazy with too much contrast and I didn't find a way to modify that. Regardless of how the images on the screen look, they look great when downloaded on the app.- The power plug plug into the side of the camera. I guess in a way that makes sense because it give better options (it can be plugged in from the ceiling or the floor). Regardless, I've never seen a dash cam that doesn't plug in on the top. It's pretty typical to run the cord along the ceiling and then down. The plug is in the correct directly at least, so it doesn't have to be twisted to go up to the ceiling.- The screen is small as most dash cam screens are. After all, dash cams are mostly designed to be unobtrusive. There does not seem to be a way to put it in full screen mode. There are button guides along the right side and the top side takes up some room with a GPS signal strength indicator, the time, and a recording indicator. While it's useful information to see, it would be nicer if it was possible to hide that information and only show it when requested. It would free up a lot of screen real estate.Additional information- Going into it, I knew that the viewing angle was 130 degrees. That's pretty small when compared to other dash cams. 150 degrees and up to 170 degrees are more common now. Because they clearly state 130 degrees, this really can't be counted as a con. They do not try to hide the viewing angle. This is easily the best dash cam I've ever had. Just having built-in wifi AND GPS makes it worth the price and the five star rating I've given it.

Great Peace of Mind
Did you know that nowadays the police do not determine who is at fault during traffic accidents? Instead, they just note the incident, and let your two insurance companies duke it out. Therefore, dash cams are now ESSENTIAL to protect you in the even that the other person tries to put the fault on you. Therefore, I was glad to receive this dash cam for my peace of mind.Installation was simple and straightforward. Once powered on, you can set the recording to automatic, and just let it be and never have to worry about it again. In the event of an accident, or when you slam on the brakes and the accelerometer senses a sudden stop, that segment that is being recorded will now be saved so you can view it or save it later to your computer. There is a 16gb microSD card included for you so you don't have to buy one, and the way it records to the card is on a first record, first erased method so it can keep recording over itself and not run out of space. It is prudent to check your card on the computer every once in a while to make sure there are no unnecessarily saved files, since that will reduce the capacity of the loop recordings.I also appreciate the other features included, such as the sensor in the camera to detect distances, such as when you are too close to the car in front of you, when you are drifting out of your lane, etc. However, the main feature is the quality of the video, and this one is very decent, 1080p, with a wide field of view at 130 degrees.Overall, this camera has given me a great peace of mind, knowing that if I ever get involved in a frontal collision, that the truth would be recorded.

Very good GPS dashcam.
Pros:- Very easy to install. Suction cup to the window a camera on the mount. Suction cup stays attached to the glass well. Does not pop off in the heat or normal car movements. I’ve not yet tested it in the winter time… I’ll update my review in a few months.- Comes with a 16 GB card and accepted my 64 GB card.- Safety features are a nice addition to anyone needing assistance, but the camera is very slow to react and notify.- Standard USB power port for the camera. I like this as its easier to buy longer/replacement cables.- 1080p video that is clean and clear.- Good day and night video. I feel comfortable having this camera running all the time.- Camera is small and lightweight. The camera displays your speed on the screen.- The built-in GPS is fantastic. Time & date is set by getting the info from the satellites. Also, the time, speed and coordinates are stamped on the video. Excellent info to have in case of a dispute.Cons:- The safety features (lane drift, too close to another car, etc.) are nice ideas but take about 3 seconds to process before a warning is given. This is too slow. Also, other cars passing or taking a bending off ramp seem to confuse the camera and it will alert that another car is too close. I’ve disabled all the safety features because they don’t work well.- The voice alerts are too low in volume (even at full volume) to hear except in a quite car. So the camera can’t be heard if I have music playing or the windows down. The voice alerts don’t change and are way too lengthy… so after the annoyance is over, they are too easy to ignore. It would be better If there were several alert messages for lane changes, and several more for speed, etc.- Normal lane changes on the highway set off the lane change alert, making it useless.- Included literature did not give much explanation about the different safety features and options available from the menu system.- Menus work via the 4 side buttons, but the process was clunky. I found myself clicking the wrong button several times. It’s probably due to me wanting it to have a touchscreen.- The LED power/recording light is too bright with no way to disable it. I don’t like advertising to folks in a parking lot that I have a dashcam. I put a bit of electrical tap over it to block out the light.I think this is a very good dashcam with clean and clear video. I do think the slow alert reaction and safety features are not worth the extra cost.
