Awesome to have in your bag!
This simple, yet effective phone mount is great to have. Fits almost any current smart phone and holds it very securely. Quality: For those not familiar with the Manfrotto name, they make very high quality gear. I have several try-pods, video heads, sliders, and other camera gear from them and I am never disappointed. This quick-to-attach mount is no exception. I use it with the Manfrotto Pixi Evo 2 Mini Tri-Pod for instances where my DSLR and full try-pod is not necessary. I have used other cell phone mounts in the past and they can be quite flimsy and cheap. This mount feels neither and has done it's job superbly. This mount has a vertical and horizontal mount screw, as well as a "kick stand" not the back for propping your phone up for watching videos. It's a nice extra feature that they didn't have to include. Many other similar mounts found on amazon offer less features and quality for the same price range. Dislikes: My only complaint is I wish that it had a lever or something to use to expand while inserting your phone. It's not the end of the world, but it would have been nice. I also had some concerns about the noise the spring makes when you pull the ends part to slide your phone in, but after a lot of use, it seem to have no negative impact on the unit. Months later, still no signs of breaking or damage.

Great part, just maybe not as a stand alone stand
I like how grippy this thing is and how secure it feels mounted to a tripod. I just don’t like the flimsy arm it comes with when you use it as a stand by itself. I tested it and it seems strong, but I didn’t force it, so I’m not sure how well my testing was for that strength. I would recommend though.

Solid and Functional
I thought I would step up to a little nicer phone holder for a mini tripod I have, after a less expensively designed model of a different brand had its rubber gripping fall off. This is a very well made phone holder, and it is holding up quite well after owning it for several months and use a few times each week. Having metal threads, I'm not worried about any trouble with mounting it to a tripod. I will say this has a plastic flip-out stand so you could lean your phone on a surface, and that plastic piece seems flimsy, and I would anticipate it breaking if you weren't careful. As for the size of a phone you could use, if it's 3.25 inches wide and under, you'll have no problem (minimum width is 2.25 inches). A phone thicker than .5 inches wouldn't be advisable, which you should consider if you want to keep a case on your phone (I don't). I think a good question to ask is, if you lost this thing, would you buy it again, and in this case, I would. It's solid and functional.

Barely fits the Google Pixel 6 Pro in a thin case!
This is a review for the Manfrotto Smartphone Clamp, Basic Version (MCLAMP), which I picked up along with a Joby mini tripod, even though I had a Manfrotto PIXI. See my review for the Joby for why, but I usually trust Manfrotto's quality and decided to go with their phone clamp. I made sure the measurements described fit my Google Pixel 6 Pro, which is a monster of a phone, and the clamp does in fact fit, though you have to grab it a bit off-centered to avoid the volume buttons. Still, the grip is very secure and stable, even off-centered. I'm not sure if it would've worked if I used a thicker case like an Otterbox though. The MCLAMP has are two 1/4" threaded screws to mount to a tripod or stand: the one in the back is, I'm guessing, used to make the tripod into a stand for viewing. If you don't have a tripod handy, you can also flip out the back panel to create a stand to, say watch movies on a plane. Really good value at $10, especially for a Manfrotto product.

Works perfect Nice strong clamp for a tripod or mounting with a shoe on camera
I recently sold my DJI osmo Pocket just due to I never use it only except for time lapse. So I ended up using and wanting to use my phone for time lapse It doesn't do motion time lapse but it still does what I wanted to. I have a Google Pixel XL 3 and it fits my Pixel 2 XL perfectly fine. It's definitely got some serious grip. I have a little guerrilla pod that I mounted it to. has a quarter inch thread on the bottom as well as the back and a flip out so it can rest on a table flat surface. It's small it simply fits in my camera gear bag. I'm impressed I like it I also have a shoe mount that I mount on the top of my Panasonic DC g9 and then I can mount my phone to the top if I'm shooting some video or just wanted to connect my phone. To my camera works good.

Maybe look for a cheaper deal
Will hold a smaller phone like an iPhone SE no problem. Firm grip. Flimsier quality than they used to be so be aware that the plastic they use is very thin. Mounts easily to a tripod.

Easy, rugged, and rigid
After 4 years of daily use it broke at this weak point between the back plate and the stationary side. This isn't really a criticism, just an FYI. I use these at my desk to mount cellphones while I use them more like a laptop than a phone. If you use this daily as I have, be careful to not flex it too much and it will last longer.

It's a great product, even though the price is a bit steep for it; it's a good investment. You can be sure that your phone will be extremely safe with this clamp. Very sturdy, and super strong. If price is not an issue go for it
