Simply Amazing
I first saw the story of the owner who makes this soy sauce on youtube using the ild ways and had to try it out. The taste starts rich and salty and finishes sweet. The sauce is much stronger and less salty than the stuff sold in stores. I can never go back after trying this sauce. It truly is the best.

OMG the flavor! Traditional Kikkoman-like Flavor But Far Better!
Boy is it pricey! You can use less because it's bursting with great flavor...Having just used it with one meal I'll reserve saying whether I'll buy it again, but it's the best I've ever had. The salt content is also 10% less than Kikkoman!

Delicious and honors tradition
Worth every penny + honors and sustains an age old tradition. The fact that it is also delicious is a bonus. I do not mind the odd look I get when I bring it to my favorite sushi spots.

Its good. I like it. Made in Japan
It is a good product. It seems less salty. Smoother taste with more flavour in my opinion. Is it worth the money? To be determined. You only live once so give it a try. They work hard to make this soy sauce by hand

Japanese Yamaroku is of very good quality and worth the price. As my only negative I wish it did not contain wheat.

An outrageous absurdity amount of money for ONE single bottle of Soy sauce but TOTALLY WORTH IT!
I’m writing this because I’m about to receive the product today! Just thinking about having spent an insane amount of money on a single bottle of Soy sauce totally blew my mind! But after watching a documentary on the family business where they are the 5th generation doing this soy sauce brewery the traditional way like brewing fermented soybeans in aged 100 year old wooden barrels that actually gave the taste to soy sauce is a must try! They claimed the honour traditional method of brewery is only 1% of all Japan because the tradition is dying and nobody knows how to craft the wooden barrels anymore and the Yama family is honouring the tradition by making their own wooden barrels!Anyway, I watched every documentary produced by the family. It’s really labor intensive! All the hard work and dedication for making the world’s best soy sauce is a bold claim! Then there’s another family by the name of Kamebishi, they make even more expensive soy sauce that was aged 20 years and the oldest one is 38 years old! It can fetch £175 for 55ml of aged 20 year old soy sauce! For 38 years old soy sauce could fetch between 200-300 dollars!!!!Anyway, back to the topic! I just learned about the actual retail price for this 75 dollar bottle sold here in Amazon Canada and the prices sold there in Japan. 15-20 US dollars per bottle 18oz in Japan. The mark up price is absolutely insane! It’s quadruple in pricing! I understand they need to make a profit. If they sold one bottle, they can buy 5 more and sell 75-80 dollars each!Hey! This is only one time in my life to splurge out this exorbitant price of a product! I will cherish it and appreciate it after I try it! This is definitely not a repeatable purchase! If it’s at 15-20 dollars a pop, I will definitely buy more throughout the year!Update: A week later after purchase the price of 75 dropped to 71 is still pretty pricey 🤣😂🙄🙃Taste profile: smoky, nice balance of saltiness, winey fermented rich soya with hint of sweetness aftertaste. It really goes really well on Tofu! It brings out the umami and freshness and flavour of the tofu like pouring cool spring water(soy sauce) on the tofu and you can taste both the tofu and rich pure soy sauce without tainting it with heavy msg or salt brown water like most generic soy sauce does.Regular soy sauce on tofu: you taste little of the tofu because the heavy saltiness and msg overpowered the tofu. Basically you taste salty tofu and completely tainted the refreshment and integrity of the pure tofu!Yamaroku soy sauce on tofu: you get to taste both pureness of the tofu and the sauce is not overpowering but actually complimenting the dish with its hint of sweet salty vinegar lingering in the mouth! You taste more sweetness out of the tofu and a slight vinegar finish lingering aftertaste. I didn’t taste any bit of saltiness or msg! You can practically lick off the sauce whatever it is left on the plate and you will not taste any salt because it perfectly infuses with the tofu! The regular soy sauce will! You have to try pairing it with fried eggs, sweet cabbages, and sausages on rice! IT IS DA BOMB!Great paring dishes like salmon, beef and other poultry cuts!I changed my mind! I will most definitely be buying more after finishing the rest of the bottled soy sauce. However, I will be not buying the soy sauce here on Amazon, instead I will find other online retailer that will sell it less expensive!
