it will be worth it if you want a good experience creating these models
I have (unintentionally) bought models from this brand before. The instructions are decent yes, but the fitment of the pieces are WAY different. The tolerances are not the same resulting in some tabs that need to be filed to fit into their correct hole. Also, the metal used is less pliable so bending parts is a little more difficult. The final result is mostly comparable to Metal Earth quality models, but the build process is much more (unnecessarily) time consuming and can lead to broken parts. I am an avid fan and have built over a dozen models now. Spend the few extra bucks to get the actual models from Fascinations, it will be worth it if you want a good experience creating these models.

Generic vs. brand name?
Know what you are buying. These models look identical to the much higher priced Metal Earth's 3D models. However, they are packaged in AIPIN brand for China. The instructions are in Chinese, though the diagrams are clear enough for anyone to guess correctly. I bet the reason why these are so affordable is probably because AIPIN didn't pay any royalty to Metal Earth for the design nor any licensing fees to Disney for the Star Wars merchandising. I doubt there is any difference between the real McCoy and these products. They are probably manufactured in the same assembly line in the same factory in China. The only difference is the official batches are sold through the proper channel and these were probably shipped through the backdoor and didn't pay for the intellectual property for the designs and products development. Can you call it a knockoff when the items are identical to the originals and the only difference is the packaging?
