I have found them to be the same, as I use both is my espresso maker. I recently bought the Moka for my stovetop maker, as it was recommended, but I found that the Moka was not strong enough for my stovetop maker. It was more like regular coffee as opposed to espresso.

Q: Do I need to buy a espresso machine or can I use the regular coffee machine I have?

I no longer sell the Illy coffee however you should use an espresso machine

I've used it only in the espresso machine. Illy has a grind for moka pots here: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Dgrocery&field-keywords=illy+moka. Illy brand coffee IS the best!

Q: Compared to 2 other brands, I find the crema for this espresso is less, and my machine just drips this espresso. Has anyone else experienced this?

use less coffee in the port filter and see what happen
