Finder is difficult to align, and keep aligned.
Likes: portability; simplicity of mount; OTA is solid with smooth focusser; sturdy tripod. Dislikes: mount hard to lock down; scope front-heavy; big holes in tray; finder impossible to align.

Pretty awesome refractor (missing pieces however)
This refractor telescope is pretty cool for a beginner or intermediates. Its picture is pretty clear, it has a few included eye pieces, and it is capable of seeing some planets. (I suggest looking at some of the gas giants, you can just make out their moons and rings). Sidenote- I suggest using a gyroscope based phone app to locate everything- it really helps. It comes with a carry case which makes it pretty convenient for travel.Edit: I always thought it was a little flimsy but thats because an essential part was missing

What good is a scope that cannot focus properly. Unacceptable...from an experienced star gazer.
Great at 20 magnification.....any higher and the focuser becomes horribly useless no matter what trick...How can you reveal a clear image....if focusing causes a violent shaking response in the field of view....at nearly any useful magnification! Its pretty upsetting, but what do you expect from a cheap scope?Had the focuser been of better design this would get 4 stars. What a shame..Onto a 150mm Mak...
