Tajima Sheetrock angle shaver
has some good weight to it.. has some sharp blades. The backing is metal. By the looks of it so far it’s a good product.. happy with it and cuts the paper clean.

CAME WITHOUT A BLADE - I DON'T EVEN KNOW THE TAJIMA ITEM NUMBER FOR REPLACEMENT BLADES
No blade. Amazon Customer Service does not have a clue about replacement blades. The picture at the Amazon site shows this tool with a blade. Mine came with no blade. The package was unopened and was not a re-pack. Tajima makes a number of different replacement blades. Not one says that it is for the TAJIMA Drywall Chamfer - 180mm Sheetrock Trimming Tool - TBK180-H45. If the package says what replacement blade to use you wouldn't know because the package is all in Japanese and there is no instruction sheet included. We can all live without this Tajima company. If they want to sell in the U.S. then they need to learn English. I mean even under Product Info; Technical Details at the Amazon product site it says: "Power Source: Corded Electric." I use Japanese made tools, but this Tajima brand is made by English illiterates who want to sell in the U.S. Just say "no" to them. They could hire a translator if they had an ounce of respect.

Almost Perfect
I ordered this tool with confidence because of the brand name. When it arrived I put it to work and my first impression was not good. I pushed along the edge and did nothing but tear paper and make a complete mess. Over the next few days it occurred to me that the tool is meant to be pulled, not pushed. Similar to Japanese hand planes. I tried again (pulling) and it worked extremely well leaving a very small and clean bevel. With a little practice I can now cut nearly perfect bevels very quickly. It takes a little effort to get the feel of the tool. I use the #1 setting for small bevels. Reason for 4 stars is due to absolutely no instruction in English and no information on replacement blades. Nada, this is annoying but the tool does precisely what it’s supposed to do. Much easier, faster and far more accurate than a razor knife.

These turn a fiddly, dangerous task into something mindless and exact
Straightening or chamfering sheet rock edges with a knife is slow, dangerous and imprecise. This tool fixes all of that and makes it brainless and painless

Good luck
I saw previous reviews saying people got an item with nothing but Chinese writing and I figured it was a fluke or I’ll just figure it out. I am not one for reading instructions anyway. Well I can say it would be nice if it was in English. I am disappointed and the product works ok. I don’t think it’s worth what I paid. If this was in the dollar store I wouldn’t be surprised because I don’t think it’s worth more than $5.
