Expensive, but worth it.
THE GOOD: I've been using this mat regularly (a couple hours a day). I'm going to give it a 4.5 for durability. The mat is very responsive, and the cushioning inside the mat is a plus. It's a universal mat so I can use it with my wii, ps2, and laptop (stepmania). The mat folds up pretty nicely.THE BAD: I wouldn't call it non-slip or slip-resistant at all. The material on the back is made of cloth or something. So, if you end up purchasing this mat, I'd suggest putting something below it. I ended up buying those foam "puzzle" mats they use at daycares. I really can't stress enough, if you try to put this mat on the ground, it will move around a lot! Unless you're playing on basic or maybe even difficult.OTHER NOTES: It's a huge step up from the Konami mats; just don't expect it to stay put in one place. If you don't have enough for a decent metal mat, I'd definitely suggest this as an alternative.

Arrows Never Register
The only reason I didn’t rate this 5 stars is because the product did not work. The Customer Service on the other hand was top-notch.I purchased this product for my PlayStation 2 because I wanted to get back into playing Dance Dance Revolution. I used to play mainly on Heavy mode, and I noticed the arrows weren’t registering to the TV. I thought maybe I was just a little rusty, but even switching the difficulty to Beginner, the arrows still weren’t registering. I tried other suggestions of leaving the dance pad out to flatten, used it on different systems (where applicable), but the product still didn’t work. If you’re a seasoned DDR enthusiast, unfortunately this pad isn’t for you. It also slides around on both carpet and hardwood.Customer Service was extremely responsive to my issues and offered me a refund. Although it didn’t work for me, I appreciate them standing behind their product and allowing me to return it.

The Studded Arrows are a DREAM
Pro: This DDR mat is fantastic. It is very responsive, hooks into everything under the sun (I'm especially stoked to try it on PC), and the aforementioned studs on the arrow help your feet step with confidence.Con:- Non-slip does not apply on a wood laminate flooring. I find myself turned 90 degrees away from the TV during heavy play- The additional buttons of x and Triangle on the back left and back right are awful for maintaining a combo as you may hit the next arrow too early and ruin it all. I could be blaming it for my performance but it happens enough that it irks me.Doesn't work anymoreOverall:: POS

Great DDR Pad
I bought this for Wii and it worked right away:) I also like the fact that it had other connections for other game stations. I wanted a pad that was flatter than the pad that came with my DDR3 (Konomi Wii pad) game. Not only is the pad flatter but it feels better on my bare feet. The bumps on the arrows are not uncomfortable as another reviewer suggested. Some reviews suggest that it does curl up. I found that allowing the pad to "rest" a few days out of the box with a couple of heavy books on it helps to flatten out the pad. I use it on my wool rug so it doesn't move around much. The price was reasonable also. The response it excellent while using it. The pad seems to be well made. Time will tell though. I wouldn't advise buying it from World Wide Distributors, I had problems with the company shipping it to me. I purchased this pad from Amazon and had no problems getting it. Amazon has always been great about shipping:)

Everything I want
I have been using the pad several days a week for over two months. It still functions perfectly and has no signs of wear. The padded bumps on the arrows help me know when I have gotten off center as well.

Foldable pad is junk, flat pad is awesome
When I first ordered this from Amazon I lucked out and the shipper sent my the more expensive "tough pad" by accident. The tough pad with 1" high density foam (*not this product*) is the best one I've used since Red Octane. It doesn't have false presses and the foam is hard, more like a gymnastics mat not soft like most of the cheaper ones. It stays flat and lasts a long time. I've gotten 1000+ combos on it.This "tough pad" pad however is pretty bad even though it looks very similar. It is foldable, which might be nice except it never lays flat. Buttons sometimes fail to press or don't stay pressed, making large combos next to impossible. Despite being 'tough' the internals wear out very quickly because of the flexing. If you aren't going to go with a metal pad then the expensive tough pad (1" foam) is the best there is. It's still overpriced and isn't as durable as it should be for the price, but with one manufacturer there's nothing to do about it.

Overall best DDR pad on the market
As the title says, I think this is the best DDR pad on the market. It actually has a surface that prevents it from slipping on hardwood and other surfaces, unlike other pads that just claim this is the case.Since it is harder than a normal pad, the corners don't fold upwards. It actually stays flush with the ground!Sure, when I have more money I may eventually buy a fancy metal pad for hundreds of $$$. For the moment, this fifty-some dollar pad is by far the best!

Expected more
Have had it for two months (or less) and the right arrow now gets stuck (as if I were pressing it repeteadly).Didn't even use it that much.Sólo lo he tenido por 2 meses (o menos) y la flecha derecha está atorada (como si a presionara repetidamente).Ni si quiera lo estaba usando demasiado.

Garbage
I am not returning the product just because it would cost me more to return than to throw it out. It has no instructions, comes with a bunch of prongs not sure which to use where. Don't buy this product.
