It was exactly as described & the color demonstrated was true. Measurements were exactly the same. Am very delighted to put them in a couple high up windows to block the sunlight since those windows face the east so can get warm very quickly in the morning. Very pleased how they look as are my friends.

I bought 3 of these to put in the basement windows. As much to control the cold coming in as to keep my 3 cats and 2 wild coyotes from doing their nightly stand-off. Now the animals outside cannot peep in and annoy the cats...well, they still do, but the cats can't SEE them, so it keeps the hissing and such to a minimum. They are also heavy enough to help keep most of our South Dakota cold from coming in.

Make sure you check them over carefully. One set (two valances) looked exactly alike until I compared them together. One end is fine. The other end of the pair is about an inch longer (the vertical measurement) than the other. Obviously this would be very noticeable if the two ends butted each other. I plan to hang the longer end on one end so it's not noticeable. Also, they need to be ironed. They came very wrinkled especially where they were folded. They are 100% polyester.

We have 2 very small windows that are in our upstairs Cape style bedrooms and a lot of sun comes in in the morning. This size window is difficult to get a curtain for that will fit let alone be a darkening curtain, and this more than did the job! They cover the windows perfectly, no light shines through and when sleeping in the rooms now the sun won’t wake you up!

I got these to block the morning sun in my playroom and it does a great job at that. They are nothing fancy but that’s fine by me, they are very functional. You can see what it looks like flat or gathered. I like the gathered look so ordered a longer one for the bigger window. Just as advertised

I was pleasantly surprised by this valance. Great quality material and blackout effect for the price. The color was spot on too. If you're looking for something simple, cheap, and effective, this is for you.
