The Middle: The Complete Sixth Season

How does this show continue to top itself? Season 6 of “The Middle” starts out strong – with Sue FINALLY getting her braces off – and keeps delivering hilarious, heartfelt comedy from one episode to the next.Something truly commendable about this series – and there is so much for which to praise it – is that each season is like a year in the life of the characters, so the audience feels like they’re living life right alongside Frankie, Mike, Axl, Sue, and Brick. The characters are allowed to grow and change, but (almost) always in the best (and funniest) possible way.This was a season of comings and goings, as Sue and Darrin’s romance bloomed then abruptly ended when Darrin proposed (which would have made Sue’s name Sue Sue McGrew), and new relationships for Axl in the form of Devin Levin – basically, a female Axl – and Brick in the form of the tall, safari-hat-wearing Cindy Hornberger.Standout episodes this season include “The Lonliest Locker,” in which Sue and Brad put on a senior play, the likes of which, only they could envision, “Halloween V,” which sees Sue trying to raise college money by showing the Charlie Brown Halloween special in an actual pumpkin patch, “The Christmas Wall,” in which Axl and Sean get into an intense argument about whether or not King Moonracer (from the Rudolph Christmas special) is or isn’t a toy, “Flirting With Disaster” which sees Frankie jokingly flirting with Axl’s friend, but she becomes alarmed when her comments get misconstrued, and the series finale, “The Graduate” – a personal favorite, in which Sue is shown in the most poignant scene possible, just how much she meant to her schoolmates.Also worth mentioning is the excellent episode “Two of a Kind,” guest-starring the legendary Dick van Dyke as Uncle Dutch, and playing the sibling of his real-life brother, Jerry van Dyke, aka, Frankie’s father, Tag Spence. Seeing the two play off one another was truly gold, especially since this was Jerry’s final on-screen appearance as the character.The DVDs are standard fair, but containing no extras as the deleted scenes and bloopers stopped being included in season 5’s releases, but even so, the episodes themselves are very much worth owning. Highly recommended!

"the middle" an absolute gem.If you are new to "the middle", this sitcom focuses on the Heck family - they live in Indiana, in the middle of the country. They live in a small town like many in the middle do, they struggle to make ends meet like those in the middle have to do, they have average kids (mostly) like most of us do, and in pretty much every way are in the middle, geographically, economically, educationally, etc.The casting is awesome. Mike and Frankie are the parents to Axl, Sue and Brick. To get some insight into the show, the Hecks thought that giving a child a cool name would help make them cool - that just didn't work out for Brick. Axl ruled HS but is finding life in a bigger pond to be a challenge. Sue is socially invisible to just about everyone, and Brick lives in and through books.You will love this!Be advised that the dialog in this show is sprinkled/littered(?) with some language that can be offensive to some.All in all 5 stars!

I couldn't wait until Season 6 was available for purchase! (Note to studio: For Season 7, please have it available September 2016!!!!! I LOVE "The Middle"! It keeps getting better and better (although I really can't stop watching the first 3 seasons, either. They're my favorites.)I bought all six seasons as a Christmas present for a friend of mine. I've got her hooked on the show, as well.And Season 7 looks to be just as great. I couldn't stop laughing at this week's episode (Frankie and Mike go to a convention in Des Moines and have a REALLY great time). As I had a terrible cold, this was not a good idea. Just a warning: if you're coughing wait to watch the episodes, when it literally won't hurt you to laugh.Enjoy!

the middle never fails to deliver. Personally I think it's the best comedy on TV currently. The characters have heart at their core and are portrayed wonderfully by the cast. This includes the re-occurring characters as well who I always enjoy seeing. I don't think there is anyone out there who can't, at least occasionally, relate to this show. I think that's what makes it so funny and enjoyable to watch. My only complaint is that Warner Brothers has decided to only produce on-demand DVD's for the last two seasons. I don't think the picture quality is as good as the mass produced DVD's. However it's not terrible and I'm glad to have on DVD at all as the syndicated shows have cut out dialog and scenes. If you love the middle it's definitely worth getting!

This was a gift for my parents, and as far as I know everything is good with the CDs. They have been looking for season four of The Middle for a very long time. I’m so happy you had it.

I collected all the seasons. They were my favorite shows to watch. Related to every one in some way.

Other people are better at explaining the series details! We are just very happy to have the whole series, binge watched it all the way through as soon as we got it!! Some episodes make us cry, because we love the characters as our own! My husband and I love SUE so much! She's the daughter we never had! She is the BEST! But the whole cast is great, and also very loveable! One of our very favorites!! Was kind of hoping it would go on until they were all married!

Love this show I don’t why it’s so hard to get season 6 anywhere. I ended up paying a lot but I literally couldn’t find it anywhere.

Excellente série d'une vraie famille du middle west, loin des 90210 et autres trucs de bourges auxquels je ne comprend même pas qu'on parvienne à s'identifier. Là tout est drôle, touchant et juste. Une série mortelle !

Love this series, it's well made and one that is entertaining as heck (get it) lol.

Season Six costs triple (3X) the price of the other seasons. it is worth having and it is hard to find probably because DISK 1 has some flaws on it. I am having problems with episodes 7 and 8 on DISK 1. these 2 episodes that i just mentioned, they freeze up and you cant watch them at all.
