I will start with the one thing that wasn't good:There wasn't enough grease in the hubs.Easy fix if you have the right tools and I presume if you are confident enough to change the wheels on your bike you will know how to do this. If not YouTube has many videos on the subject. I used a high grade Lithium grease and now the wheels run smoother for longer after a good hard spin. If you buy these wheels you may not find this but mine did need more grease.Now to the good points:These wheels are not the lightest but they were in fact slightly lighter than the ones I replaced. Araya rims and Shimano hubs on my old early 90's Gary Fisher Piranha.The rims are very narrow compared to most mountain bike wheels but I had no problems fitting 26X1.95 tyres on them. My V brakes also work on these slim rims with no line up issues.The rims are twin wall so although quite narrow are incredibly strong.The gear cogs on the rear wheel are not cassette type but freewheel type so if you want to fit your own cogs to the rear wheel you need to bear that in mind. I have no reason to change them and they work well with my cheap chain and Shimano derailleur. The original set on my bike was a cassette type by Shimano.The wheels are as true as any new wheel I have bought and I didn't feel the need to do any more trueing work to them.To sum up:It was cheaper to buy these as replacements than it would have been to buy new hubs and spokes and rebuild my old wheels. Or even pay a professional to rebuild them.I would buy these again for sure.
