The Complete Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Boxset: Douglas Adams

I have been meaning to read this for so long and it 100% has not disappointed. Such a great set of books and so funny

More popular than ‘The Celestial Garden Care Omnibus’. Better selling than ‘Forty Three Weight Loss Exercises in Zero Gravity’, and more controversial than Oolon Califid’s trilogy of philosophical blockbusters, ‘God is Good’, ‘God is Real’ and ‘That’s Another Own Goal for God’. This trilogy in five parts tells you all you ever really want to know about the universe in which we live, while neglecting to tell you what you might actually need to know. It’s as relevant and irreverent today as it was when it was first published forty years ago. Simply sublime.

Bought for a gift for an avid fan. Just as described. Excellent.

I read these as a young man, got it for my sons, and they loved it too. Multi-generational love for the author's humour. I don't know if I would enjoy these today, as an older man, but they certainly belong to literature that one must read; best when one is younger I can imagine. I am fascinated by Adams's endless creativity, and the way he tells a story. And if re-read today, perhaps there are multitudes of parallels and references to the new developments in AI.

Iconic sci-fi series

I bought this set as a birthday present for my dad. It was nicely packaged in the box, and I’m excited to give it to him. A great addition to any bookcase.
