Heart of Fire: Blood of Zeus: Book Two (2)

I'm not great at writing reviews but I feel the need to write something about this series.If you're contemplating getting this book or series just do it.I fell in love instantly with the characters and series.I don't know how I'm going to wait 5 months for the next book when I already waited months for this one to be released and devoured it in 2 days.I also listened to it on audiobook from Audbile while following along with the kindle version.I even bought the paperback copies of the first 2 books and I hate paper backs.Hopefully that gives you a hint of what a wonderful story this is and hopefully you'll enjoy it just as much.It's just a big romantic gush of a story with twists and turns that keep you enthralled.Interested dialogue and great descriptive writing.

I was absolutely ready for book 2 in the Blood of Zeus trilogy and it was everything I expected and so much more. Meredith Wild and Angel Payne are magical together bringing us into the continuing story of Gods and demons, plus the human world. Maximus and Kara sustain and go beyond their beautiful and stormy lovemaking. What a emotional ride we are treated too, with an incredible cast of characters. There are twists and turns, magic, fantastic sexy incredible love, and two souls who were never meant to be together and yet neither one wants to be with anyone, or anywhere else. Maximus must fight for Kara and she for him. The writing is entertaining, smooth, and splendid. I am so excited for Storms of Fate to have questions answered, and see Max and Kara emerge victorious.Thank you Meredith and Angel for your magnificent story.

Max and Kara's love story continues to be steamy and hot while they are playing a game to make sure that the underworld doesn't take Kara away and/or punish her. We find out more about Maximus's childhood and get to see the interaction between him and his father, Zeus! Maximus is taken to the Greek Gods world, mostly a bar where he learns about the godly drinks which is very potent and he gets drunk pretty quickly. His uncle, the god of the underworld, wants to know why Kara is so special that Zeus and Maximus is asking him to release her from her commitment.Meanwhile, Kara's mother is scheduling public events that Maximus and Kara must attend in order to keep Kara in the spotlight so less chance of something happening to her. While these events aren't to either Maximus and Kara's liking they do it to an extent. Things are always steamy when it comes to these 2 and they always want time away from everything and everyone. But going to a small social gathering of someone that Kara's brother knows comes at a great expense. Maximus and Kara's brother join forces to figure out what happened and how they were all betrayed!I am impatiently waiting for the next book to figure out what happened and if there will be a happily ever after. Ms. Wild and Ms. Payne sure knows how to write stories that keep the reader craving more and more. Love both these authors, together and individually!

Heart of Fire is book 2 in the Blood of Zeus Series by Meredith Wild and Angel Payne. What a story this is turning out to be!! The forbidden romance between Kara and Maximus is all consuming. The twists and turns this book took left me frantically turning the pages! Can’t wait for book 3!!

First of this is not a stand alone, please please make sure you read the first book in this series. Second, Kara’s eyes are the only thing on fire!! This story is packed from the first page to the last and keeps you coming back for more, and more.Max and Kara are a force to be reckoned with. Nothing will stand in their way of the love they feel for each other. You see that love flourish in this second installment in this series. It is a must read, stop what you are reading now (unless it’s the first book) add to cart and either download or have shipped to you!!

Therefore, my review will be short and spoiler free.In the second installment of Blood of Zeus, Maximus and Kara are trying to come to terms with the revelations that ended book one. The Valari's decide that thrusting them into the spotlight will keep her safe from the repercussion of her actions. Yet this may just put Maximus into danger himself.Heart of Fire is filled with outings for the paparazzi, some sweet moments for Max and Kara, and some explosive intimate scenes between the two of them. It's also filled with Gods (pleasant and not so pleasant ones), demigods, demons and all the chaos that these individuals bring with them.The Blood of Zeus series continues to bring undeniable passion along with a new modern take on Greek mythology. It's exciting to find the parallels and similarities to well known myths and the way the authors bring them to life.

This is the continuing story of Maximus & Kera. So many things revealed in this book about their lives that they never knew. It brings to light the answer of why, especially for Maximus. Their attraction is still very strong, and getting stronger every day, and turns into love. Lots of action and suspense, too. Can Maximus and Kera conquer all that they face? This second book ends with a cliffhanger. The way it happened chilled me to the bone. Great writing Meredith Wild. So looking forward to the last book in this series.
