Very nice mix of jazz and reggae.

This along with only a few Aswad early recordings avoid the Cross-Over label. I would call it Dub-Vocals. It is great.

Sounds fine. CD is undated apart from the original release date of 1979. Some Japanese notes are dated 1995 but no release date for this issue.Remarkable to think this is now nearly 40 years old - it doesn't sound dated at all and a lot of the social commentary in the lyrics are still relevant. One of the best produced and listenable reggae albums I know.

This happens to be my favourite Aswad album of all time as they took British roots reggae to a different dimension with a jazz type influence proving what talented and versatile musicians they are....This was the follow up to their debut album but with a very different flavour..... This is the only album they ever produced of this kind as it was made with the original band members before the line up changed after this album was released.....If you are not familiar their earlier work before their commercial success you should really check this out....This is the perfect chill out meditational album combined with militant lyrics expressing their experiences and capturing the vybes of the time and is definately one of Aswads most creative albums to date which makes this album stand alone in comparison to some of the rest of their musical history..... A really unique easy listening roots reggae album a must have for your collection.

Great record all the way through, jazzy blues reggae, laid back sound. Another great lost record of the 80s.

Das von Amazon angebotenen Produkt ist eine qualitativ minderwertige Kopie. Hier wurde das Originalalbum nur auf einen Rohling gebrannt, das Booklet schlecht kopiert und zu einem hohen Preis verkauft. Das könnte auch jeder selbst zuhause machen. Ich verstehe nicht, wie Amazon solche Produkte verkaufen kann. Die Cd wirkt auf mich wie eine Raubkopie. Der kurze Hinweis, dass es eine CD-R Disc ist, die evtl. nicht von allen Geräten abgespielt wird, überliest sich leicht. Ich war super enttäuscht und auch entsetzt, dass Amazon als marktführendes Unternehmen so etwas macht. Dies wird mein Vertrauen in Amazon erheblich schmälern.

Matumbi のアルバム「Seven Seals」と並ぶ，1970 年代末（レゲエがキングであった頃！）のイギリス・レゲエの最高傑作です。本作は1979年のリリースのセカンド・アルバムですが，非常にジャズ／フュージョン色が強く，Aswad の長い歴史の中でも他に類を見ない異質な作品です。特に Drummy Zeb のペンになる "Judgement Day" という曲などは，ダイハード・ラスタファリズムそのままのアポカリプティック（黙示録的）な歌詞（「審判の日におまえはどうするつもりだ？逃げるのか？それとも隠れるのか？」）をフュージョン風アレンジで軽やかに歌い上げたものであり，このミスマッチないし「居心地の悪さ」が聴くものを魅了します。最終曲に至ってはインストルメンタルで，これはもろ（当時流行だった）フュージョンです。しかも楽器の演奏テクニックの水準たるや，ベース，ギター，ドラムいずれもウルトラ級に高度で圧倒されます。リリース当時，私は本作を聴いて，こりゃスゲェやと興奮し，あわてて Aswad のファーストを買ったのですが，ファーストは全然ジャズじゃなくて拍子抜けしたことを憶えています。Aswad がその後もこのレゲエ／ジャズ路線でがんがん進んでいたら面白かったのになぁ，とやや残念です。
