Is this blender loud?? Trying not to wake othere in the am!

I use it with towel around it in the morning. it's loud... not as bad as some. I mostly do not wake the baby that is 10 feet away.

Can this blender chop nuts in a smoothie, if I wanted to add a handful of nuts to it?

Yes it can. It will destroy ice, frozen fruit, nuts, and seeds. Just be sure to hold it down for a few seconds and let it up for a few seconds (basically pulse it with a pause in between) to make sure you get it as blended as you'd like. I love mine. I highly recommend it.

Can this blender chop kale very good?

I like to freeze my kale bags and then crush them to compress the amount of freezer space needed. Works either way-frozen or chilled, with this blender.

What is the measurement on this blender - height, width etc

The base (motor) is 7" tall and 4"wide (at the top - the widest part). With the beaker mounted the full height is 13"
