Yoswit Smart Light Switch 2 Gang - No Neutral Wire Required, Control Lighting from Anywhere, No Hub Required, Built-in Timer and Support IFTTT (Grey Mix)

Although period 2, 2019 promised Alexa still not available!

The media could not be loaded. I've a little garden office which I like to work in at night. It has outside lights that light my way back into the house, but, those lights are controlled from inside the office which isn't much use. I'd been looking for a smart lightswitch for some time now, one that:1) Doesn't need an extra hub2) Works with low power LED's (I have 2 lots of 4x ~2.5W LED's)3) Doesn't need a neutral wire installation (supports 2 wire installations, UK friendly)4) Has a manual switch you can press5) Works with AlexaThis little unit arrived today. I had it fitted within 45 mins to replace the existing 2 gang switch for my office interior and exterior lights. Wiring is simple it's marked with L (com), L1 and L2, no earth attachment on the unit, so earth goes to the backbox.Downloaded the app, registered.... it found the switches and let me control them within seconds. No awkward setup. Job essentially done...I've customised things a little, given the switches names and icons I like. Switched them on and off a few times... works fine. The first time you switch one on with the app it takes a few seconds (shown in my video) after that, things are pretty instant.The app has options for clever things like scheduling timers so you can automate lights on an off and delay timers so you can turn your switch into one that once pressed only stays on for 30 seconds (perfect for my outside lights so I have time to get back to the house).These support IFTTT but it looks like Alexa voice commands are coming soon. Those were a nice to have for me anyway. Will report back after some time of use!

Nearly set fire to our house luckily we were in to disconnect power and remove . Also but this is secondary the advert when I bought in January promised that would have Alexa support by end of Q2 2019 . That didn’t happen . I have tried to get a refund but the uk agent referred me to Yoswit directly but five days after contacting their support team they haven’t replied .

This light switch works great and looks pretty good. Installation is reasonably straightforward (our existing socket had two com wires which I put into the main live, and then L1 and L2 which was the same as the original wiring). The back of the socket is quite deep so a spacer may be required, but they are cheap enough.The switches themselves don’t exactly have a premium feel to them but overall not too bad. The app is a bit confusing when it first loads up but once you have a read through of the in app guide for each thing you are trying to do it is actually pretty straightforward. All in all I’m happy with it.
