Live & Thunderous !!!
As most are aware, Pink Cream 69 is the German Hard rock/Melodic Metal formed in the late 80s which managed to forge a successful career during the `90s and `00s. This, their latest release sees the band captured live in their hometown of Karlsruhe on a 2CD set celebrating their 20th anniversary. The first thing that unavoidably hits the listener is the album's faultless production; Not only are the instruments captured in great clarity but also the production offers huge drum sound (which is relatively hard to capture live). Literally drummer Kosta Zafeiriou puts through such a solid performance that will have you playing air drums or even banging your head. Guitarists Alfred Koffler and Uwe Reitenauer also carry out quite a job switching from heavy riffs to guitar melodies to shredding solos. Plus lead singer David Readman is as reliable a vocalist as he has ever been. His live performance on this one falls nowhere short when compared to the studio versions. Never forgetting bass `academic' and production wizard Dennis Ward, who puts through his ultra punchy bass lines complementing perfectly this explosive, yet precise, band performance.I would say that this album's greatest characteristic is that it is perfectly recorder, mixed & mastered and for that clearly separates itself from the cold or even thin, at times, sound of the studio. A definite must for any fan of hard rock/melodic metal live albums."Rock Hard" Greek magazine (issue 47) marks this album with 8/10 commenting: "Consistent, relevant, heavy and melodic..."

Andi Who?
PC69 seems to be getting better with age, which is a rarity in the music world over a 2 decade+ career. 'Live in Karlsruhe' (2009) brings these hometown heroes back to their stomping grounds where this German band originated, except Readman who of course is a Brit. This double CD plays like the best-of album PC69 never released in it's 11 studio album run. This concert performance is a GIANT upgrade compared to “Live!”(1997) which was half the length with lackluster energy and sound quality in comparison. What really shines is the classic era (first 2 albums) songs, as Readman blows Andi Deris out of the water with his vox stamp on them. He absolutely "DWARFS" the original versions of "Do You Like It Like That", "Welcome the Night," and the retooled version of "One Step Into Paradise". There is also a DVD version of this show "Past & Present(2009)" which takes-off 30 min from this concert and adds a second DVD 'Japan – January 31, 1992','Live in Vizovice, Czech Republic – July 5, 2007'.
