Spearmint Gummy Leaves 5lb

When I ordered this gummy candy I was of the notion that it was made by Farrerra Candy Company of Chicago and that it was the original small size spearmint leafs that were sold in little boxes like their Boston Baked Beans and other confections. When the product arrived in came in a standard medium size Amazon box in a doubled plastic bag with a nutrition label that neither identified the name of the manufacturer or where it was made. No lot number or anything! I tasted one piece, it was sort of spearmint flavored. I tossed the whole thing out (See attached photos of label and some scale of size of the product compared to a penny).It reminded me of the same old fashion candy sold by a certain large drugstore chain that boxes and/or bags their product with the country of origin printed on their boxes being China. I tossed them out as well and never bought it again!

I guess not all these candy's are created equally. I've purchased a couple different manufacturers of the spearmint leave and this by far is the worst. They hardly taste like spearmint and have an orange tint. They taste like the and orange slice candy was made before them and they didn't clean the equipment up between candy types. Wish I could return but no go. I would highly suggest purchasing a different spearmint leaf candy, I had to throw these away, waste of money.

First, I must preface this by letting you know that I never write reviews. Therefore, I must feel VERY strongly about this product.I've consumed many pounds of spearmint leaves in my many years, and these are literally the absolute worst I've ever tried. They are so dry and hard (not at all, 'chewy,' as the listing claims) they are better suited as a building product than as a spearmint leaf candy. Perhaps I got an old batch (though they're labeled with a November, 2019 expiration date), but that is also inexcusable. To make matters worse, the flavor is not significantly better than I can get from my local chain drugstore house brand, and it has the same oddly chemical-like aftertaste as that brand.It's actually hard to overstate how horribly hard and tough these spearmint leaves are. Bayside Candy should be embarrassed.Please do yourself a favor and stay away from these. I had MUCH better luck with a similar product from KOS Fast Distribution on Amazon (soft, great flavor, and a resealable bag... all better than these horrible excuses for spearmint leaves from Bayside).

The product is just as described. Everyting was fine beside the taste and consistence, they are not as minty as I was hoping and they don't have the consistence of regular gummies. They are more soft and sticky instead of chewy. I regret my purchase, keep in mind that there is no return/refund so if you think about buying them make sure you have tried them before... I won't buy this again for sure but as I already said, the product was perfectly fine. Also, they are huge.

I've bought these several times. They usually come in soft and chewy, which is great, but one time they where hard and went straight into the trash. I've bought spearmint leaves from several Amazon sellers, from other online sellers, CVS, and Walgreens. That last seller has the best flavor of all but, of course, it's more expensive than what you'd find on Amazon. Don't know that I'd recommend buying from this seller. Maybe I'm just fussy about what I'd like them to taste like.

I bought this huge bag for a friend who has diabetes and is going through chemotherapy. Her blood sugar is all over the place, and these gummies have been her go -to in the middle of the night when her sugar plummets.

Candy was very good, but it was messy with all the sugar and broken parts mixed in with it. The bag in the picture is filled with the loose parts that were in the bottom of the bag.

This spearmint leaf candy is a wonderfully fresh treat. Good spearmint flavor and chewy delight. Will definitely purchase again. Have loved these for over 50 years!
